In September, D.C.’s Democratic Mayor Muriel Bowser introduced the Homeless Services Modernization Amendment Act, in order to update and improve the 2005 Homeless Services Reform Act. The proposed legislation would now require homeless individuals seeking shelter to provide proof of residency, to ensure that District residents receive priority.
Ironically, the city has taken the exact opposite approach to the issue of illegal immigration. Mayor Bowser announced this week that she has pledged $500,000 in taxpayer money for a grant program to help illegal-immigrant residents in deportation proceedings, among other services. Interestingly enough, there seems to be no requirements for such individuals to receive government aid. If this seems hypocritical, it’s because it is. Extremely.

A 6 or 8 or 10 week ‘free time’ for employees for whatever reason.

MAYBE they are giving the ones they see every day an ID card and figure when they build luxury high rise homeless shelters they can stop the vagabonds from other jurisdictions.

There was some talk going around that the Council shot down or was going to shoot down a plan for areas to be developed for this homeless thing... Apparently a few supporters of hers got their panties in an uproar.

The homeless don’t vote, and so the politicians don’t care about them. The illegals are given special privileges and are encouraged to vote (by not being prosecuted).

Don’t you just hate to see that happening (s). Finally, after a lifetime (of 76 years) I will finally get to see the “real Mexico’ emerging from the shadows of American forced paternalism. And I hate to say it, but Mexico clearly needs another Revolucion to oust the white Spaniards who have run that country as their own private country club since it was founded.

No surprise; our vulnerable, elderly & our vets do NOT get the services or freebies that illegals get. How is it that an illegal alien gets dental care while an elderly person who has worked all their life, living on SS has to pay for dental?????
Our priorities to OUR citizens are completely screwed up. And they wonder why people are angry.
