I hope there never is a civil war but, if there is, I hope they go first.
Though they are increasingly strident and desperate, the fact is that they're rapidly losing support from many of their core constituencies.
The reason for that is because their knee-jerk hatred is so intense, and so transparently founded in lies, that even the most brainwashed Democrats are unable to ignore it.
As evidence, I'd cite the massive numbers of Reagan and 0bama Democrats (rust belt union workers) who helped elect Donald Trump, as well as the fact that President-elect Trump did better with Blacks and Hispanics than Mitt Romney in 2012, even in the face of a relentless and unprecedented campaign of lying, hateful character assassination by the Left.
The fact that President-elect Trump made even modest inroads into these traditionally Democrat demographics is a yuuuuge warning sign to the Democrat party, and a harbinger of their ultimate downfall if they don't radically change course.
The hatred of the Democrat elite is simply too vile, virulent, and irrational to maintain the rank-and-file loyalty that they've depended on for decades. It takes a lot of energy and effort to emanate such hatred, and most everyday Americans have neither the inclination nor the weak character to maintain such counterproductive attitudes.
The Democrat leadership has grossly overplayed their hand, and that reality will be reflected in the support President Trump will continue to consolidate after he takes office.
President Trump will use the bully pulpit quite effectively, and he must not listen to those who would advise him to be more "moderate".
Indeed, when these Democrat liars spread their filthy smears, they should be rebutted quickly and severely with the actual facts, and that goes especially for the divisive race-baiters such as John Lewis, who, notwithstanding any heroic behavior in the distant past, now has become aught but a shameful caricature of his former self, and a willing dupe of the haters within his party.
Donald Trump's Presidential campaign has shown the power of speaking the blunt Truth, and I, for one, applaud him for it. Many Americans who are not traditionally Republican are doubtless weary of all this division, and want nothing more than to be given the opportunity to succeed and build a better life for themselves and their families. This will be the driving force behind the next 4-8 years of progress in this country, not the hateful divisiveness of selfish and desperate race-baiting liars.
Historically, Donald Trump has established an exemplary track record of helping both women and minorities—without sacrificing the high standards of performance which he expects from anyone who works for him—and that will accomplish more to change minds than any hate that can be thrown at him. All that is necessary is for him to make the People aware of the facts, which will quite effectively dispel the lies of the Democrats.
I thank God Almighty for giving this nation an opportunity to unite under a President who loves his country and who will promote policies which cannot fail to "Make America Great Again".
Those who don't jump on this train—or at least stand aside and let the believers get to work—are going to be run over, and good riddance to such fools...
