I hate when seniors don’t recognize its time to give someone else a turn.
I hate when seniors don’t recognize its time to give someone else a turn.
Really?
Is that a big problem these days?
Really! Our 94-year-old State Rep here in GA (a Republican and WW2 vet) kept promising to retire for 3 election cycles, after 20+ years of service. Well-qualified replacements deferred a primary challenge. Finally, after breaking his word a third time, he got his ass primaried this year and lost. Instead of going out in a blaze of glory and honorary events, he was basically persona non gratis in the local party.
Ya mean like in the grocery store check-out line?

Sometimes seniors need to feel like they’re still good at (something) what they do.
I wonder why he was passed over? Has he begun to sound bad? Maybe there’s something planned in his honor???
