>>The bottom line is the Hegelian dialectic sets up the scene for state intervention, confiscation, and redistribution in the U.S., and this is against our ENTIRE constitutional based society.

Hegelian Dialectic can be used for just about anything. At the heart of it is Thesis>Anti-Thesis>Synthesis. From a practical view, that means you develop an idea and discover the opposite of what you believe and then work to synthesize the “better truth” from that. Once you have found your synthesis or “better truth”, that becomes your new Thesis and you start searching for the new Anti-Thesis so you can find an even better truth in the new synthesis.

Hegelian Dialectic becomes dangerous when you combine it with Naturalist thought (especially Existentialism or Pros-Modernism) because there is no Ultimate Authority to restrain your synthesis. This is where the dialectic can lead to the justification of virtually anything.

If you have an Ultimate Authority, then you can use the dialectic to realize that YOUR thesis is actually God’s anti-thesis. The synthesis does not have to be a 50/50 split between the thesis and anti-thesis, so acceptance of an Ultimate Authority eventually gets to the point where you have to surrender all of your thesis to the anti-thesis (from your point of view) of God.

But, without the Ultimate Authority, the thesis/anti-thesis eventually leads in the selfish direction.

A very good summation. Back in my school days i heard a professor speak for over an hour to say the same things you have in a few sentences.

On the surface, I like your reply, but confess, I need to digest information these days.

I as a school board member, I fight against the control of defenseless kids by "policy"

ONE such being a "bullying policy"

I, and my peers (I'm 69) were bullied as kids (a couple of us were the bullies) and we all survived and became stronger men because we were forced to reach within and FIND something that kept us from running to the coloring books and bunny rabbits.

We had to go to school the next day to discover if we still had a girl friend or not, or if the kids would all be laughing or congratulating.

THOSE nights before going back to school ... WAS school.

Murder is bad>>murder is good>>let’s be reasonable and find a middle ground.
