Seriously, if someone I knew, and knew I voted for Trump gave me a gift that was a donation to a liberal cause... unless they were a really close friend doing so clearly as a gag.. I’d say, the same I used to say to stupid people back growing up in the south.... “Well bless your heart”.. because as anyone from the south can tell you... that’s how we politely tell people they basically are retarded, without sounding mean.

If people thought there would be any kind of peace after Trump won, they’ll be sorely disappointed. The liberal pricks will never let
it go. Conservatives should give donations to pay trumps campaign in liberals names. If the liberals did that at my house they’d be forcefully removed.
I’m okay with charitable donations in place of Christmas presents, for adults. However, it should be an unambiguous good - care for the sick, feed the poor, and similar causes. Making it political to twist the knife is tacky, even if it is for a good cause (NRA rather than Planned Babykillers).
I’d ask for a receipt, for tax purposes. Then we’d find out if they really made the donation.
