Donald Trump's choice of generals for top posts 'extremely unusual' (More FAKE news)

Ex-officers may actually restrain a hawkish leader, experts say, but management styles could be complicated

Hup, two, three … heck, maybe even four.

More could be on the way. Retired army general David Petraeus and retired navy admiral James Stavridis remain in the running for secretary of state.

Taken individually, there are some wise picks there, say military and national security analysts. Taken collectively, though, military historian Richard Kohn isn't so sure.

"This is a big deal. These are civilian jobs," he says...

In the opinion of Mr. Kwong and others, being a former member of the military disqualifies you from civilian leadership jobs... I place this under 'FAKE' news. Actually maybe FR should come up with a 'FAKE' news category.

Go back and see how many military men every president since Pres. Truman has had in their administrations. It proves this is fake news by CBC. (They are scared spitless that their baby socialist will be smashed under the mighty wheels of the Trump Train.)

No doubt the LIBS are making the case to accuse TRUMP of overreaching ‘military’ power when they are arrested and put in the slammer for corruption and sedition.

Matt Kwong looks like he’s about 10 years old. Richard Kohn is an obscure academic looking to vent his anger against Trump and get a little time in the spotlight. Who cares what either of them have to say.

They know what war is and what the military actually needs to win these wars. Liberals have a big problem with winning. I also found the white male comment hillarious because we know what they did to Condi Rice

90% of what comes from the MSM and dems/progressives/libs is manufactured hysterical talking points designed to be repeated endlessly until it has an air of reality.

Guess what, commies? In the USA, we have citizen soldiers. Once they retire, they are civilians qualified for civilian jobs just like anyone else!

Positions of a military nature, I don’t see anything wrong with having retired officers in those positions.

I seem to recall some guy named Geroge Washington that had a fairly important position in the Continental Army ... something to do with Valley Forge and a few other kind of relevant military evolutions. If memory serves well, he had a fairly positive impact on the Nation as regards maintaining civilian oversight and control.

Obama had General Shinseki, Admiral Blair, and General Jones as his VA secretary, Director of National Intelligence, and National Security advisor when he came into office. Where is Trump’s selections any different?

They are retirees, veterans, not active duty generals

BTW- why isn’t every man in political office a veteran?

These men are EX-military and now civilians. So am I. Does that disqualify me from serving in the government? At one time, many of the people serving in the government were military vets.

Now it seems that they are all lawyers, which if you ask me, is the main problem getting anything done in the government. Too many talkers and not enough does.

Most of what the media spends it's time and efforts on nowadays is much to do about nothing. This is one of those times.
