We keep reading in the media that the job market is on fire, that we´re near full employment. But it´s a sad truth that the monthly jobs report doesn´t really reflect what´s going on in our hobbled economy.
As everyone knows by now, the jobs data for November show a decline from 4.9% to a 4.6% unemployment rate, as businesses created 178,000 new payroll jobs. What could be better? While we applaud these improvements, they mask deeper problems with the U.S. job market.

It was PISSED when the unemployment went down to 4.6. You know they did that to screw Trump. It’s going to be a long 4 years with all the sabotage that went on prior to Trump winning. The fed purposefully keeping interest rates down until.....oops December needs to have a rate hike. hmmmmm. Funny how that happens. Gas is starting to go up.......pisses me off the whole thing.
Ya 20 hours a week max and 8.25 starting-at least around here.

A jobs boom equates to upward wage pressure. That isn’t happening. There is no boom.
178,000 jobs per month isn’t keeping pace with the increasing labor market. I think we need about 245,00 minimum per month just to keep even.
It’s all spin.
A RECORD 95 million Americans are no longer considered in the job market.
That number went way up, last month. Almost a half a percentage point. In one month.
Just as “unemployment” went way down.
Oh yeah. I’m already getting sick knowing what the newspapers and other crap media are going to say about Trump. “Trump only brings in 1 million jobs this quarter. Yep they will go that route for sure. While Obama was given free tickets from the media on everything. Trump won’t be given those free tickets at all.
Take a few hundred pounds of govt shackles off of the small biz man and you’ll see a jobs boom.
For the next 4 years, it’ll be the opposite of “Blame Bush,” they are already laying the ground for Obama to get all the credit for everything good.

Exactly. Thanks to obamacare, employers don’t hire full-time. They hire two or three part time employees - no benefits. I know young kids (20 somethings) working 2 and 3 jobs. I’m sure they get counted in the government statistics as 2 or 3 people employed. It’s not. Real unemployment and underemployment is rampant.
Lying to make it look good for obama in his last few months of office so that history doesn’t accurately portray him as the worst president ever as he was.
