This is actually kinda scary. If the worlds economy gets the kind of correction it desperately needs, we’ll long for the days of the great depression.

Western civilization is drenched in credit and not much cash, unlike during the depression.

Western civilization is massively secular, unlike during the great depression.

When the required austerity comes, thanks to all of these “revolutions”, it will be devastating and much blood will flow.

The problem is that the alternative may ultimately be even worse.

Well, if comes to that, I can think of no one better than Donald Trump to go through hard times with....

I get your point.

My grandparents lived through the Depression and WW II.
They were faith-filled regular churchgoers, as were most
of their contemporaries. They kept a hopeful philosophical outlook when confronted with life’s challenges.

People today are not in any way thus prepared.

My Father used to say that FDR saved this country (with his socialism and meddling in the economy).

These economists at UCLA disagreed. They say that FDR extended the Great Depression unnecessarily. If the SOB would have stayed out of it, the country would have recovered relatively quickly.

FDR's policies prolonged Depression by 7 years, UCLA economists calculate

I agree with many who say the big one is coming, it is inevitable. There will be NO soft landing.

The Demonrats are trying to position themselves so they can blame Trump and the Republicans. It's what they do.

Perhaps, but the global ponzi scheme can’t last forever. At what point do you suggest we allow it to collapse and begin again? 1 year? 5 years? 10 years? Just asking.

No voyage in life is without change.

We have had enough of governments, ours and the Eurotrash, telling us how to live our lives.

I have faith in the good American people, UK, and the non Eurotrash to do what is right to avoid the dangerous shoals of socialism/fascism.

Have faith

The two smallest will fix it

Think David and Goliath

Iceland (the Pirate party) and Greece will combine to cut the Geordian knot.
