Ellison has spoken at a convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). Yet ISNA has actually admitted its ties to Hamas, which styles itself the Palestinian arm of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Justice Department actually classified ISNA among entities “who are and/or were members of the US Muslim Brotherhood.”
It gets worse. In 2008, Ellison accepted $13,350 from the Muslim American Society (MAS) to go on a pilgrimage to Mecca. The Muslim American Society is a Muslim Brotherhood organization: “In recent years, the U.S. Brotherhood operated under the name Muslim American Society, according to documents and interviews. One of the nation’s major Islamic groups, it was incorporated in Illinois in 1993 after a contentious debate among Brotherhood members.” That’s from the Chicago Tribune in 2004, in an article that is now carried on the Muslim Brotherhood’s English-language website, Ikhwanweb.
Also, the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) raised large amounts of for Ellison’s first campaign, and he has spoken at numerous CAIR events. Yet CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case — so named by the Justice Department. CAIR officials have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups.

The Democrat party moves ever deeper into the Dark Side, shifting its allegiance to yet another foreign ideology.
For years, the more “progressive” faction of the Democrat party has flirted with international Communism, going back to the days of FDR and the New Deal. Some of their connections were nakedly wide open, as the spies who gave a good many of the secrets of construction of atomic weaponry to the Soviets back in the 1940s, and many were more subtle, in the rewriting of history books and shifting school curriculum to demean and downgrade the inspired thinking of the Founding Fathers.
But the Soviet Union, the major rival to the US in world politics, collapsed of its own internal economic woes in the last decade of the 20th Century, so the “progressives” had to cast about for another foreign ideology, seizing upon the bloody and tyrannical doctrines of Islam, a system of mind control and economic modeling that was antithetical to the American standard of capitalism, disguised as a religion. Using the American ideal of freedom of religion, this ideology was established first with a few beachheads in urban areas, with the building and dedication of mosques, which in reality are not religious temples at all, but armories, barracks, and training centers for indoctrinating youth in the effective strategy of jihad, organized terrorism to compel the acceptance of “no-go” zones for non-Muslims, establishing essentially a mini-state within the host country. Once established, all cultural ties are cut with the outside, and a very different law code is put in place, Shari’ah law, which is incompatible with whatever body of law which previously existed. The centers of these small Islamic republics are constantly being pushed outward, driving out or converting the local indigenous people to Islam, with a very simple choice - either convert to Islam, or submit to the superior authority, recognizing that whatever deity you pray to (if any) must be second to Allah, or if either of these two choices are unacceptable, be subject to death upon capture.

I thought the Dems just got a smack-down at the ballot box because there are not enough of these high-visibility/low population un-American fringe groups to deliver a national election (or even win enough Congressional races). I don’t read the 2016 election as a win for “conservatives” (though it wasn’t necessarily a loss either); I do read it as a win for American ideas (which received sufficient support from traditional Dem voters).
