We have the most killer deal-makers we never use them, I know many of them these guys are brutal hard and Obama uses Kennedy in Japan, I mean give me a break we need strength and we will win, and you will win, and we will keep on winning, and eventually you will say we cant take all of this winning, please Mr. Trump and I will say, NO, we will win, and we will keep on winning.
~ Donald Trump

Wait a minute — I’m absolutely flummoxed. Didn’t Mitt, Cruz, Wolfe and Todd tell us Trump is woefully inexperienced ?
It’s obvious. Everybody knows running the government is much tougher than running a $10 billion business.
A politician needs to learn how to pull things over on voters, to conference over policies that will never be enacted, to rubber stamp uniparty presidents, to hobnob with lobbyists at DC cocktail parties, and to hire political hacks for cabinet positions.
Trump doesn’t do any of that stuff, so how the heck is he going to succeed without that essential political training and experience?
Then yesterday, what did we see? We saw Trump and Mitt eating frog legs together.
I’m getting dizzy. Nothing makes sense anymore. Beam me up, Scotty. /sarc
Man, I already forgot what the hell I was talking about. HYSTERICAL!
I put on twitter today: “OMGOSH they had frog legs, Trump made Romney eat PePe”...LOL...
Trump is showing the whole world just what kind of a man he is...the people he is hiring are millionaires and billionaires, they know how to make deals, they know how to make money, they know how to manufacture, produce and enrich...I couldn’t be more proud...and they all said he was a clown...ROFL...who are the clowns now?????????????
Now, let’s not make fun of Mr. ED. After all, he was usually more intelligent than his master.
But Frankie boy, the Argentine bozo? Now there’s a piece of work.
I loved Mr. Ed. but you know Francis...well...it just sort of fits...
Agree 100%. I’ve been pretty discipline of late. Not visiting the Trump website or Drudge all day, just waiting till the end of the day to see what happened.
For the economic cabinet positions, Trump’s known exactly who he was going to hire for quite some time. For the other posts, he’s been testing people for months within the campaign to discover which people are sharp and get things done.
At his level, it’s all about selecting the best men and women to fill positions. In a way, much of the tough work in his Presidency has already passed. He busted his butt for us to get elected.
Now it’s getting his team in place. The right team will get the job done.
And winning begets more winning. People are starting to notice even before he’s in office how competent he is. And it’s those very accomplishments that wins over the skeptics. Pretty soon, very few will want to bet against him.
Not only that, Trump is relentless in pursuing what he wants.
So Trump is very much back in his Apprentice chair, except this time he’s not grooming a bunch of youngsters. He’s training We the People how to succeed and prosper.
I could not resist...
Seriously, the article you linked to is very good. It really gets into the meat of Trump’s approach to economics, and his choice of an economic team (team!) to revive the US, without getting bogged down in minutia. I don’t think any 2 FReepers agree 100% on all aspects of economic policy, but, IMO, Trump is off to a good start.
Agree or disagree, this article should be required reading for every FReeper, AND every FReeper’s friends. (Hint to all!)
Amazing, this winning thing DJT spoke of.....liking the feeling of that. A winning team, Carrier decision to stay in the states.... The MAN has yet to fail me or cause any dissatisfaction in my voting for him.
GO DONALD! More win, please!
Now this quote I really like because it seems to echo what we've been seeing in the stock market -- and the greater financial confidence that's sweeping in.
Emerson points to the influence of morals on financial institutions. Think of the difference between Hillary/Obama and Trump and you'll see the parallel:
A dollar in a university, is worth more than a dollar in a jail; in a temperate, schooled, law-abiding community, than in some sink of crime, where dice, knives, and arsenic, are in constant play.
The "Bank-Note Detector" is a useful publication. But the current dollar, silver or paper, is itself the detector of the right and wrong where it circulates.
If you take out of State Street the ten most honest merchants, and put in ten roguish persons, controlling the same amount of capital, -- the rates of insurance will indicate it; the soundness of banks will show it: the highways will be less secure: the schools will feel it.
The children will bring home their little dose of the poison: the judge will sit less firmly on the bench, and his decisions be less upright; he has lost so much support and constraint, -- which all need; and the pulpit will betray it, in a laxer rule of life.
Also, from just after the election:
This may have been previously posted, but it “fits” here too. :-)
I read Trump’s “Art of the Deal” and built my crocheting and quilting business from it...one thing that has kept me going is ‘under budget and ahead of schedule’...it works...
He is showing us right now with appointing people in the positions that he is ‘under budget and ahead of schedule’ and this is how he will run Our Great Nation...
Politicians are not going to be happy about all of this, it means the money isn’t going into their pockets, and they will finally have to work for once in their lives...there is going to be a lot of upset people in the swamp until it’s drained, but that also will be done ‘under budget and ahead of schedule’...
The American People are going to be shown how to built their businesses and how to manage them the right way, something that hasn’t been done in centuries...when there are more government workers working and less American Workers working it means one thing: We are not providing for our Country...we are filling the coffers of the greedy...that is going to stop...
What a great conversation piece for your barbecues! But some of the men might become “self-concious!”
