I believe that the two most difficult jobs in the world are being a good spouse and a good parent. The reason: after our relationship with our Creator, the most important relationship in the universe is that of a husband and his wife. As I’ve often pointed out, the biblical family model is at the foundation of every institution in the history of humanity.
This is what makes the infamous Obergefell ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court in late June of 2015 so egregious. It strikes at the heart of America. As my new book, The Miracle and Magnificence of America details, try as they might, the British were unable to establish successful settlements in America until faith-filled families decided to venture across the Atlantic and lay down permanent roots in the “New World.”
Those who want to destroy the greatest nation in the history of humanity know well that for America to be undone, the family model that has prevailed worldwide for millennia must be eradicated. In short, if the family dies, then America as we have long known her, dies. After the God-haters are done, there may still be a nation called “The United States of America,” but it will look nothing like America as she was founded. And such an outcome is just fine for those who despise the Christian foundations upon which America rests.

In late 2005, Elton John entered into a “civil partnership” with David Furnish. In 2014, John “married” Furnish. John, age 69, and Furnish are raising two sons (born via a surrogate mother), ages five and three. In the spring of this year the lurid details of a sexual tryst involving Furnish and multiple American men were reported by the American media. Though such behavior would come as little surprise to anyone who knows even the slightest details of the homosexual lifestyle, John and Furnish have, through legal means, successfully kept the story out of the British print media.
In an effort to paint homosexuality and same-sex “marriage” as healthy and normal, John has taken great pains to have his “marriage” painted by the (usually complicit) media as “blissfully happy” and “wonderfully loving” (actual words recently used by London’s Daily Mail to describe John and Furnish’s “marriage”). Yet, in the injunction granted to John and Furnish to prevent the British press from reporting on their extra-“marital” affairs, it is revealed that though they “have portrayed an image to the world of a committed relationship,” their “marriage” does not “entail monogamy.”
In other words, over the years, with the knowledge and consent of the other, both John and Furnish have had multiple “sexual encounters with others.” However, in the name of privacy, John and Furnish want to guard their children from this knowledge (at least until they deem it appropriate to reveal such). Paddy Manning, an “Irish gay libertarian conservative,” rightly concludes that the British courts have made themselves “a partner in a vicious hypocrisy. It is defending the illusion of Elton John’s ideal family life against a sordid reality in which his children are mere bagatelles.” Manning adds, “Little argument can be made for saving the two little boys from the putative damage of public exposure when they are living with two selfish hedonists who obtained them by purchase.”
Whether they realize it or not, John and Furnish are attempting to further mangle the definition of marriage. Though their efforts and behaviors sicken and sadden me (and, as many studies over the years have detailed, are very common), I understand well their position: If we are not to hold to what the Bible reveals about marriage in one sense (the union of one man and one woman), why should we in any sense (such as not committing adultery)?
As was noted years ago, for the homosexual agenda, this debate has never been really about marriage. This is a war against the truth — especially when it comes to matters in the sexual realm.

from a purely public health standpoint I fully support homosexuals pairing up for life. If they want to pretend they are married while doing so, more power to em.

At the end of the day, all our supreme court did was, via the force of law, change the meaning of the word “marriage”.
Don’t ask me how that was a constitutional issue, but they found a way to make it so. What a corrupt court.
They are never monogamous so your argument is moot. They care nothing about a being “married.” They want to destroy any morality, Christianity and any kind of “right and wrong.” Homosexuals won’t be satisfied until this country is an orgy free for all. Unrestrained sexual activity with anyone or anything at any time.
Exactly. They never wanted to share in true marriage (not that homosexuals ever could share in what has been defined as marriage throughout history in almost all cultures. Even the ones which practiced polygamy did so between opposite sexes). They wanted to destroy it, and the underpinning morality.
1. The Federal tax code has specific provisions that provide financial benefits/advantages to couples who are legally "married."
2. Marriage law comes under state statutes, not Federal law.
3. Some states recognize "gay marriage," but others do not.
4. Therefore, this is a matter for the Federal court system to address.
The problem with this case was that the court addressed this legal dilemma the wrong way. The provisions of the Federal tax code related to "married" people should have been declared unconstitutional. There actually would be a solid constitutional basis for such a decision, as opposed to the idiocy we saw where the Federal courts became the arbiters of state marriage laws.
And perhaps one day, conservatives can discuss the nasty culture of rich celebrities buying babies. From Joan Crawford to Rosie O’Donnell to the two freaks in this article we now know that all of these children are bought and sold on the open market to crazy people.
Sometimes a country has to have a problem this grievous pushed on it before it knows it needs to get serious with the Lord.

They destroy the word “love” and “marriage” where two males sodomizing each other can NEVER make a “union” as marriage does of two diverse human beings. By allowing the court to destroy the word “marriage” (a pure Marxist scheme to destroy cultures, and the understanding of history, etc. (for the children) so that they can make children so irrational and immoral that “Slavery is Freedom” and “Vice is Virtue”. It collapses freedom and removes Reason from Just Law, for vice is always slavery. (Socrates/Aristotle/Founders).
The sodomite psychopaths (Satanists/Pizzagate) need slaves, babies—dummies who believe vice is virtue and Slavery is Freedom for their NWO. It is necessary to train little baby boys, esp., that two males sodomizing each other is “Good” (TV and Movies are brainwashing our children now) which is being embedded in those adopted boys where they were denied their biological mother which defies their Natural Rights (which is totally unconstitutional).
They are normalizing the homosexual worldview (lifestyle) as was in pagan Sparta and in today’s Afghanistan, where pederasty and boy harems are normal. They can never be “free”.Man/Boy “love” is the result of homosexual cultures like the Samurai. Pederasty is normal in these warped men’s lives—whom have been debased and emasculated in their childhood (probably raped by a sodomite) and they become brutal (evil).
A true “Justice” (virtue) System may NEVER promote Vice for as Montesquieu noted, only “public virtue” can be promoted in any “Justice” system and once Vice is promoted the “law” becomes “Null and Void”.
As men stated at Nuremberg Trials and Justice John Jay and Justice John Marshall noted at the Founding: Civil societies, a Free Republic, has to promote public virtue at all times. Without Virtue, there is no Freedom possible. Sodomy is a vice always-—irrational, dehumanizing and objectifies and makes “sex” meaningless and filthy and disease-causing. It is always about Lust (a mortal sin), never is it “love” which is selfless and would NEVER use others in such evil, filthy, meaningless ways.
We either have a Justice System or a Vice System-—right now, we have a pure vice (satanic) system (baby-killing and sodomizing others is “Good” and promoted to little children in schools.) And then there is the ‘re-homing’ scam. People go adopt and, when hey are done using the child, they advertise in specific places an opportunity to ‘re-home’ the child. Do you suppose that the pedophile ring suggested in WikiLeaks is like this?
And to think, fifty years ago the Hippie movement, in an attempt to destroy middle class values, declared marriage DEAD! Old hat! Outdated! After all, if you really loved someone a marriage license was not needed! It was ONLY a piece of paper!

Today, those old hippies and their kids have discovered that marriage is the most important thing two people can engage in to prove their love, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE GAY!

Maybe people should focus on seeing if they can find even a single supposed victim of this “pedophile ring” before they try to work out the intricacies of how it works, eh?

I’ve struggled with this. On the one hand I agree, it at least reduces the spread of disease - IN THEORY. Then I read studies that show hardly any, if any, same-sex “marriages” are monogamous. The average couple having at least one other “partner” per year. Now throw kids into the equation...
The only way that the hippies were right is that a piece of paper is unnecessary to declare a man and woman married; after all, marriage existed among illiterate crowds in ancient times.
That was because God declared marriage to exist in the hearts and souls of mankind, not on any piece of paper.
But now, you’re absolutely right. The idea that God declares marriage to exist has been replaced with what the state says is marriage.
Which puts homosexuals in somewhat of a comical position: that the government can tell them what to do with their bodies. The very position that homosexuals argued against to achieve their supposed freedoms.
May God protect these precious ones. I encourage ALL traditional, God fearing families to pray about adopting children in the system especially, but also anywhere there are orphans.
