Former Governor Romney was one of Donald Trump’s harshest critics during the election. He assisted his opponents and was essentially working to get Hillary Clinton elected.

Donald Trump met with Mitt Romney in New Jersey last week. Sources said he was interviewing for the Secretary of State position with the Trump administration.

Trump supporters HATE the idea.

Now this… Transition Team sources told Ed Henry from FOX News that Mitt Romney is preparing a public apology. Mitt Romney is reportedly very interested in the Secretary of State job.

Gov. Romney is talented and qualified ...

What are ex-Governor Romney's relevant talents, and his qualifications to be Secretary of State, other than being J. Random Politician?

Folks need to understand the difference between crap said in a campaign and skills and ability. In the kind of meritocracy Trump is creating, the first counts for little, it’s all about whether the person is the best person available to do a job. It’s just business.

Consider pro sports players who trash-talk each other across the line and then end up on the same team. They don’t have to love each other but if they want to win, they will find a way to do their jobs better than any other team.

Or as an old boss liked to say: “You never know who you’re going to end up working for - or hiring”, so keep it about business”.

Trump should make a sincere apology from Romney a requisite for the job...wait until Romney apologizes, then don’t give him the job.

I can’t imagine Romney would apologize without an advance agreement that doing so would get him the job.

Bingo! And it's going to be a beautiful apology. A great apology. A graveling, humiliating, eating dirt apology that Trump will have read and OK'd in advance.

If even half of what Mittens said about Trump is true, he wouldn’t want to work for him. Which means that what Mittens said about Trump is not true. Which means Mittens is a liar!

Trump should wait for the quisling to publicly grovel, then turn RINO Romney down...then again this was probably President Trump’s plan all along.

Romney doesn’t at all share Trumps philosophy. Why does he want the job so badly? So he can forge his own way or implement the “fraud” Trump foreign policy? This is all about power which means Trump isn’t actually going to drain anything. Disappointing to say the least. If Trump can be coerced into this after such a win where he took no ones support but the peoples then it’s done. You can’t remain a free thinker and hold power. Too bad, I had high hopes. I hope he avoids this, I really do.

If he has to prepare an apology, how likely is it to be from the heart?
