"We had a far-reaching conversation with regards to the various theaters in the world where there are interests of the United States of real significance," Romney told reporters after leaving the meeting. "We discussed those areas — and exchanged our views on those topics."
He called it a "very thorough and in-depth discussion in the time we had.
"I appreciate the chance to speak with the president-elect — and look forward to the coming administration."
Romney walked away as reporters shouted questions.

Did you see mittens come out of his meeting with Trump. He was visibly shaken. No way in hell he gets even dog catcher. Trump had a Come To Jesus talk with him. He was rattled.

If Trump really thinks he is the best man to implement the TRUMP agenda then I would grudgingly accept. I don’t believe he is though. Sure, talk to him, forgive etc. but let’s be honest, Mitt Romney shouldn’t really be trusted. I trust Trump’s instincts so I would give the choice the benefit of the doubt but again, I think Trump can do much better

I agree with Huck.
IMHO - Mitt Romney initiated this meeting. First word about it was a high ranking republican leaked it, I think it was Romney or his camp.
Reason is he is hoping for a spot, plus he was able to tell Trump his views on the world.
I doubt Trump ever had Romney in mind, this is why Trump had the meeting in NJ, so the press could see Romney coming to kiss Trumps ring.
I doubt Romney is being considered for anything.
I think DJT already knows that. DJT rewards loyalty. Mittens was never loyal. So, what's the best DJT can offer Mittens? Ambassadorship to Libya, would be my guess.
If this is true, it will turn out to be Trumps most brilliant move yet.
