Cruz’ pomposity would alienate even the conservatives on the bench.

While I think Cruz is well qualified

We'll have to disagree.

I don't consider anyone who ignores our Constitution when it's personally inconvenient to be qualified.

Anyone who gets NBC wrong, perhaps for personal gain, does not belong on the SC.

Not a terribly difficult concept.

Jus Soli + Jus Sanguinis = NBC

Don’t you think they would pass him through easily.

I mean, even the Dems would love to see him out of the senate.

Pubs would be getting rid of a thorn in their side too.

Sounds like a win-win-win to me.

No deal. Cruz has shown he’s as willing as the left to use self-serving legal sophistry to twist the plain meaning of the Constitution when it suits his purposes. Just as the left would have you believe that 2A applies only to the National Guard, ignoring the plain meaning of the militia and shall not be infringed, so Cruz would twist the plain meaning of natural born to include those halflings with a burning ambition to be President despite not meeting the qualification intended by the Framers.

I supported him for Senate. I might still support him for Senate. I opposed him for President. I will oppose him for the SC.

Cruz has grown up in Texas, that is flyover country and he is conservative. I would like to see him in the SC.

Dat true. He’s already a fantastic prick.

Cruz lost on the field of play where a majority of people decided he wasn’t quite good enough to serve two possible terms as president.

What makes you think those same people are dying to see Cruz secure a life long position, unaccountable to anyone?

Chief Justice John Roberts, ‘nuff said.

We are not talking about president, he was born in
Canada. The decision would not be the voters. It will be Trumps. I don’t expect him to get the SC position, I just think his background would be good for it.

“Ted Cruz is a totally unstable individual. He is the single biggest liar I’ve ever come across, in politics or otherwise, and I have seen some of the best of them.” - Donald J. Trump, February 15, 2016.

It’d be great watching the left react to a Cruz confirmation. I believe suicides would actually be taking place.

Actually he has been removed twice that I know of. And the voters of Alabama reelected him to uphold their rights and beliefs. I think he is to old to think of nominating him. I would prefer some one that would serve 20-30years.

Lyin’ Ted was touted as a brilliant debater yet lost every debate to Trump as well as a debate with a Trump supporter during the IN primary.

In addition, he refuses to unseal his birth documents to prove he’s a US citizen.

Say what you may but I have no problem with Cruz on the SC protecting my constitutional rights.

My main concern is that we get a solid majority on the court that will always uphold (and, indeed, strengthen) the individual RKBA. In its current makeup, I wouldn’t want to take a 2nd Amendment case before the USSC unless the lower court decision was favorable to the RKBA.

Pfft! No.

Yeah, sure would be bad to have a Constitutionalist on the S.C.
