UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon voiced confidence on Friday that Donald Trump will shed the strident rhetoric that propelled him to the White House and engage with the world to confront global crises like climate change.
Ban told AFP in an interview that he hopes to meet with the US president-elect in the coming weeks to explain how the United Nations expects the United States to “continue to work for humanity.”
Trump won the US presidency on a platform that calls for closer ties with Russia, pulling out of the Paris climate deal, shaking up security alliances and questioning US funding of the United Nations. …

I can almost hear Trump laughing if this turd actually brings this up in their meeting. At this juncture, the UN cannot “expect” anything. Trump will tell Moon that the US isn’t getting it’s moneys worth from the UN. Kinda like NATO, only a whole lot less important to us.
Real leaders like the president of Iran never engage in strident rhetoric and never need schooling by UN bureaucrats

I fully expect Trump to drop the rhetoric and demonstrate leadership. There has been enough rhetoric. It’s time to dispense with it. It’s time to get busy.
That reduces it to “coexistence”, like with its predecessor the USSR. Reagan put an end to that with the USSR, and should have done the same with the offspring called the UN.
When the UN takes positive action against terrorists who kidnap, rape and sell Christian girls into slavery, I will listen to why we need the UN.

Ever notice that the title for the head of the UN is the same as the title of the head of the Communist Party in commie countries? That was by design, and Alger Hiss’ design particularly.
