EPA rushing through regulations after Trump election
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/10/2016 | John Siciliano

The head of the Environmental Protection Agency is telling staff to quickly finish up the last round of regulations before President-elect Donald Trump enters the Oval Office next year.

"As I've mentioned to you before, we're running — not walking — through the finish line of President Obama's presidency," EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy said in a staff memo obtained by the Washington Examiner after Trump was declared the winner of Tuesday's election.

The agency is currently working on regulations for the oil and gas sector, and is finalizing new annual regulations for the nation's ethanol mandate and renewable fuel blending requirements. The agency is also moving rules related to implementation of its landmark Clean Power Plan for cutting carbon pollution from the nation's coal utilities to combat global warming.

The Clean Power Plan itself is currently under court review after being temporarily stayed by the Supreme Court on Feb. 9 until all judicial review has concluded. Over half the nation is opposing the climate rules along with major industry groups and the coal industry. Trump has made repealing the EPA climate plan a key part of his first 100 days in office.

What is the governmental process to get rid of the regulations once EPA implements them?

It’s ok. President Trump (that still sounds fantastic!) will just reverse them all, and gut the department and the admins who jammed this crap through.

Trump wipes these new regs out 1st week he is in office. What’s the point? Do they think these new regs will go unnoticed? Progressive thinking & behavior is so disordered.

Ignore them, just like Obama ignored the immigration laws we’ve had on the books.

Ah, the EPA.

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

OK, OK, perhaps the FBI, IRS, Justice Department, Congress, Dorkbama the Muslim eunuch, etc are worse.

Can one imagine the EPA folks trying to find real jobs were there not the government providing those C students employment?

Can’t theses regs just be rescinded?

Ed Rollins on Dobbs last night was making an interesting point.

He said don’t put any governors in these cabinet positions.

He sited EPA Whitman feuding with Bush publicly during his administration.

EPA is great, we need them. 50 of them. We don’t need 51, so we can get rid of one - the federal version.

The states EPA’s can carry on, as per their state’s desire.

Write them out. They aren’t law.

What a waste of time.

Say goodbye to the useful idiots. Their day in the sun is ending except they will be back with scores of lawsuits.

The EPA’s 1st mission is anti-American, anti-capitalism and the absolute desire to screw with people.

Disband them, fire all employees with the proviso they are banned from all future gov’t employment.... state, local, federal.

Transition team just needs to keep a list so we can reverse them all.

Trump should recruit Gov Scott from FL to reform regulation. He was able to reduce FL government and regulation by 1/3.
