Around 4:30pm on Tuesday November 8, Democratic Underground was hacked, apparently by a supporter of Donald Trump. This person clearly knew what they were doing, and despite our best efforts we have not yet been able to resolve the issues caused by the hack.
We do not believe that any member data has been compromised. And we are confident that donor data has not been compromised because that information is handled by PayPal and never passes through to our servers. But at this time we are unable to bring our discussion forum online.
The hack was clearly aimed to cause maximum disruption on our busiest night of the year, and we deeply regret that we won't be able to spend election night with our great community of members. We ask for your patience while we continue to work to fix this problem, and while we do not have a time frame we will do our best to get DU back online as soon as possible.

why blame a Trump supporter? It’s probably an inside job, just for publicity and so they can point finger at the horrible Trump supporters.
Typical Dem way of doing things! First cause the problem then blame others and look like the victim. poor, poor DU.

They have pulled the plug before when they were getting trounced. I went there one time early in the evening when Trump was winning states and got a message that I had to log in to proceed. They have never done that before. Right after that the hacker message came up. They shut it down and like they always do, they blamed us.
Did the election look like it was breaking for Trump at 4:30 yesterday?
I suspect the site administrators shut it down themselves in order to try to hide the lunacy that no doubt was spewing from the site goers. Mis- and dis- information is always the leftist way.

I doubt this. More likely, it is the equivalent of Cornwallis at Yorktown, where he wouldn’t come out and participate in the surrender ceremony to Washington.
