RUSH: As to what I'm doing to prepare for various outcomes... (sigh) There's some preparation, but, you know, folks, since I really can't predict the future; nobody can. It's not time to panic. When it's time to panic it means it's time to give up, and I don't know about you, but I'm not prepared to give up. So I'm gonna here. So, given that I'm gonna be here, what am I gonna do with it? Then you get into, "Okay, what am I gonna do with it if Hillary wins? Then what am I gonna do with it if Trump wins? If Hillary wins, what's gonna happen, independent of what I'm gonna do?"
The country isn't gonna unify, the country's not gonna come together. The country's just gonna be as roiled as ever, if not worse. There's so many aspects to this, in terms of preparing for it. But -- and I haven't gone deep into this, as I really don't do that, either. It's not that I'm a reactionary. I'm just a literalist. I'm the mayor of Realville, and I deal with things as they happen. I don't live in a fantasy world where I get to pretend things happen as I want and then I'm gonna deal with 'em accordingly.
So in many ways, I'm just waiting to see like you are.

Talk about understatement. I don’t even want to predict what will happen if Hillary wins but it will be ugly.
I know Rush - who is quite well off - will be prepared for whatever comes, but will this country be prepared for (a possible) President Hillary Clinton?
I’m not so sure.
Maybe he fears, like Fox News should, a collapse in interest if Hillary wins. We will be too busy licking our wounds to care about politics for awhile.

Yes, even if it turns out tonight to be a Trump triumph.
Because even in that case, we surely don’t think that just throwing Trump over the transom into the White House is going to fix America’s ills. He needs us to stay online with prayer and as necessary with speech.
I think I can safely say that NO body gives a s#it, Rush.
That’s interesting, given his money. He can, like rich Democrats, buy his way out of troubles, at least for a season.
Donald Trump notably did not choose such an attitude. It is a bit reminiscent to me of Christian theology. The Lord stooped and left heaven and came down to earth, turning his back on his own eternal wealth in order to raise all the lost who were willing back up into eternal wealth.
I do not have a problem with Rush’s sign off.
One of the worst things, IMO, that people like Rush could do is come off and say Trump will win in a major landslide. I’m very happy he’s not doing this. He’s always left open the possibility that Hitlery could win.
What this does is get’s his listeners to get out and vote. Many people, if they know it’s in the bag, may just stay home. I really think all the fake polls out there are having the opposite effect, in that they are getting more people out to vote for Trump for fear of losing. And in the meantime, the lefties are confident they will win, so why bother to vote, which means fewer votes for Hitlery.
