Sounds like nothing but an expensive summer camp. Go to rehab for two weeks and presto!, you’re cured. What a joke.
It doesn’t work that way in the real world.
I know a young man who’s in actual rehab for heroin addiction. I didn’t know him when he was a serious junkie. The facility is a ministry that is no charge to the patients but they have to prove their willingness to go by jumping through a bunch of hoops before they can go.
He became a Christian there.
He has done pretty well, but has suffered a significant setback and went back in for a while.
I know two others who went there many years ago and are clean and very productive members of society.
The Christian part is the only thing that matters in the long run. It’s not even about his or anybody else’s earthly bodies in the end. Those will all perish (or be done away with mysteriously, in case of rapture). It’s about their souls. WILL they willingly put their burdens on a willing Christ, or won’t they. I do not wish perdition even to Mr. Weiner.
