Trump received 49% of the Israeli-American vote, while Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton got 44%, according to the poll conducted by get-out-the-vote organization iVoteIsrael and KEEVOON Global Research.

Another 2% voted for Libertarian Gary Johnson, and the rest chose “other” or said they voted for Congress and not a presidential candidate

Wow, they are probably better than their counterparts here in the US. It will be interesting to see if U.S. Jews go for Trump! It would be a change if they did.

If Trump wins AZ, would anyone say “So what?”

It's just a poll, but...

Compared to the Romney-Obama 2012 election, the 2016 results look bad for Trump.

Romney got 84% in 2012.

Obama got 14%.

Also, the voter turn out appears to be way down.

30,000 for Trump-Clinton.

At least 80,000 for Romney-Obama.

Some of the rich and elite types like Haim Saban and the neocons of the foreign policy-defense policy elite have already thrown in their lot with Hillary.

Israeli Jews live with death/terror and malls very close by. They live in a different reality from their brothers and sisters in America. They are, by definition, conservative, tough Jews who understand how the world works and the American Jews there are cut from a different cloth from the vast majority of the nebbish “Wienering” American Jews...

“American Jews there are cut from a different cloth from the vast majority of the nebbish “Wienering” American Jews...”

That’s what I have alway thought. US Jews have the “luxury” of not having their lives threatened on a daily basis., so their “liberalism” is unfettered by that fact.

I do not fault the Liberal Jews of America at all, I mean, they have it good and have turned into Milquetoast while their brethren in Israel fight our battle, the good fight for survival and fending off the Barbarians...

What were you talking about when you said “So What” to the Israeli ex-pat election for Potus. Those are real votes, just like in AZ.

I Didn’t understand your comment.

Context. Did he do better in Israel than Romney did in 2012, than McCain did in 2008? etc, etc.

Re: “looks like the heart of the never-trumps”

Hard to tell.

The article is not well written.

From the language, I can’t tell if the writer is comparing a 2012 poll to a 2016 poll, or if the comparison is to actual 2012 results.

Also, the reference to 80,000 voters in 2012 is just for an organization that helps Americans living in Israel to vote in their home state.

If the poll, and the voter turn out, are accurate, that could indicate a problem for Trump in Florida.

Romney only lost Florida by 74,000 votes, and the large South Florida Jewish vote can swing the state either way.

Anyway, this poll of Israeli-resident American voters makes me feel very uneasy.

Yes. That is a lot of votes. Question is why are Israelis this year against Trump and not the others Reno’s that seem to want to get rid of Israel? From my prospective it seems backward.

I don't believe the results of this poll for one second. Would think that Trump is getting 80-90% of that Americans abroad in Israel vote, comparable at least to what Romney did in 2012 and McCain in 2008.

It would make sense that these poll results are so far off the actual vote because doing exit polling on a group which has voted by absentee ballot is inane. In fact, the term "exit polling" means that the polling is done as voters exit from a polling place. Without a polling place, how the heck do you do exit polling at all?

My guess is that this worthless poll was done by some leftist organization to hide the overwhelming support for Trump in Israel.
