Being held on the pending Fed case over the Nevada Bundy ranch events.
The coda to the stunning verdict, undoubtedly a significant blow to federal prosecutors, was when Ammon Bundy’s lawyer Marcus Mumford argued that his client, dressed in a gray suit and white dress shirt, should be allowed to walk out of the court, a free man.
U.S. District Judge Anna J. Brown told him that there was a U.S. Marshal’s hold on him from a pending federal indictment in Nevada.
“If there’s a detainer, show me,’’ Mumford stood, arguing before U.S. District Judge Anna J. Brown.
Suddenly, a group of about six U.S. Marshals surrounded Mumford at his defense table and grabbed on to him.
“What are you doing?’’ Mumford yelled, as he struggled and was taken down to the floor.
As deputy marshals yelled, “Stop resisting,’’ the judge demanded, “Everybody out of the courtroom now!’’
Mumford was taken into custody, a member of his legal team confirmed.

Like it or loathe it, jury nullification still pops up in our country’s legal system from time to time. And tonight a jury in Oregon just gave the Bronx salute to the United States Government.
Do not convict until Hillary is brought to Justice!

What it boils down to is states rights and the second amendment. The Feds owning vast tracks of land is disturbing. Accusing citizens of armed take over of the Fed Government was a long shot by the feds. The Feds are just a few very small steps away from a dictatorship.
Juries should always be fully informed as to their historical role and powers, especially their right to nullify bad laws and bad applications of the law.
Many government entities actively suppress free speech related to jurors' access to this extremely important feature of our justice system.

Different sources, so not a true duplicate, I did search before posting, so titles don't match.
Mine has about 100 comments on it.
Out freekin standing...I got worried when a juror wrote a question to the judge about a fellow juror was a BLM employee....but that is put to rest. Nice to hear...
The judge was trying with all her might to make sure they would be found guilty. Here is a quick run down:
Defendants were not allowed to speak of what the FBI did to LaVoy.
Not allowed to ask who the refuge belongs to.
Not allowed to quote the constitution.
Not allowed to know if some or all of the guns paraded around the courtroom were in fact the guns the FBI plants brought in.
Juror actually said he was ex BLM worker and was bias.
Judge actually tried to keep tainted juror in the box even after questioning him.
After judge found that mistrail would be called for, due to the bias juror, judge quickly dismissed him.
In the end, the brave jurors knew what it was to be an American citizen and saw through the obvious plan for the fedgov to get their man.
Good for the jury. After reading all the comments for all this time all I could think of was may oregonians chains rest lightly..... Now if you go to oregenlive website the commies are pouting with a handful of good Americans signing up just to throw the verdict in the commies faces.
