I wonder... was he more doctor or more political agitator? It sounds like the Communist dream of the 30's was his dream, but maybe he was a true believer, a useful idiot.
A true believer is not a useful idiot. Useful idiots are naive dopes duped by the commie left into supporting their especially dangerous anti-American, outright communist agenda. For example, well-meaning but REALLY stupid liberals marching in the communist-organized "peace" rallies, where the organizers are anything but 'anti-war'. Rather they've never met a bloody leftist uprising or revolution they didn't fully support and embrace. They worship mass murderers like Mao and Che. Meanwhile the dopey lib participants think it's about "peace, love, and togetherness".
