I have lived in China - and I agree, the American media is much better at dispersing propaganda and controlling opinion.
China is modernizing, but they still come from an old-school Stalinist background where political news is formal and stilted, and the language and bias are often, and obviously, over-the-top. All media is directly controlled by the Party. So, After 70 years, every single Chinese knows to be very skeptical of what they hear.
Not so in the USA. The American media claim to be private and independent. Their message and propaganda are more subtle. They combine their narrative and propaganda with “entertainment.” They don’t insist on immediate results, and play a long game.

At least no one is in the dark about CCTV’s BS.
Same with Russia. The hyper corrupt U.S. media makes the Russians look like amateurs.
