The black man Leo Terrell (?spelling) trying the simulator has always been a pain in the butt to law enforcement in So California.

Even though you know you won't die, it's a harrowing experience.
A Blackneck with a gun pointed at a LEO, what else can a cop do, but shoot?
Even better...dress the civilians in police uniforms and put’em in front of a rioting BLM crowd.
Bad guys are 10 points
Innocents are 2 points
Dogs are 100 points
Double points if you ask “do you feel lucky punk?” before you shoot.
I remember seeing something like this decades ago, but much more extreme. Innocent looking scenarios were presented with kids, grannies, etc. Suddenly Granny would pull out a gun out of nowhere and shoot, and boy was she fast. You had maybe a second to react, or less.
I’m not sure a way out of such scenarios except for police to have their gun constantly drawn, or to be a very quick draw. No win for cops, in any case.
I saw one like that several years ago where the suspect is a hysterically crying pregnant woman with a revolver in her hand. In the scenario she empties the gun at you, still crying, then hands it over. Talk about not knowing what to do.
One year I got to serve as a civilian in actual police training. We weren’t given scripts, and could do pretty much want we wanted, but were to act someone like what we did.
It was very enlightening to see how these trainies handled things.
In one of my scenarios, I was allowed to have the gun. So I acted really nervous, and the officer on me looked me over, but still turned his back to see how his partner was doing, and when he turned back to me I had the gun pointing at him, and he then pulled his weapon and shot me.
I’m apparently one of those people who don’t look like trouble.
Not following the picture. Somebody in a jean jacket? It sure as hell ain’t a Blackneck?
The news persons at the station asked the reporter at the scene how was she feeling and they felt bad that this reporter went through the simulator. That was a little humor for the story.
Lavoy Finicum
How effective can these be without the “fight or flight” adrenaline factor?
