I used to work for market research polling firm. It’s not illegal to parse and present polling info in any manner the client wishes. If political clients want a particular result, then they get it. The polling companies usually start to return to realistic numbers close to election day, so they can market themselves to future clients as accurate.

And this election is like non other, it’s an anomaly !
Even the last week when the number “suddenly” close we won’t know by looking at the polls, I just think this election has too many variables to quantitatively predict the winner. That is why they were so far off in the primaries because Trump is a-typical scenario.

Don’t believe everything you’re hearing. Here is a Dem Strategy memo from 10/3/16. It’s about creating the appearance of Dem enthusiasm, even defacing cars and stealing signs.

We never participate in polls.

Polls aren’t reflecting public opinion.

They are trying to mold it.

Honestly, I think that going into this year that Hillary was strongly favored to beat any Republican in 2016 and 2020. This is because of the electoral map, trends, and her strength as a candidate.

A lot of people minimize her strengths, but I think they’re wrong.

Republicans are noncompetitive in presidential elections. The only way they can pull out a victory is to change some states that have gone to the Democrats pretty consistently since 1988.

It’s amazing to me that so many Republican voters can’t see this. Sticking to the 1988-1992-1996-2000-2004-2008-2012 playbook will make the chances of victory more remote.

The only play non liberals have is to try unconventional approaches. The GOP is inept, incoherent, and can’t defend its record.

I think Trump can win, and he helped himself immensely at the debate. Trump is a winner and he’s a closer. But this was never going to be easy. And it never will be in our lifetimes.

I’ll concede some leakage because of the pu$$y tape but it will swing back with this week’s Wikileaks reports. We understand evangelicals (leaders at least) are not terribly bothered by the Billy Bush tapes, so who would be if not them.

And I hope all have seen how the WSJ quickie poll showing double digits for Clinton was heavily weighted for Hillary, and rushed to take max advantage of the lewd audio tapes. It’ll be back to even soon.

One final thought....GOPe aka Paul Ryan will be done if they don’t get on board. The entire GOP for that matter. I’ll go Indy, officially. In fact, I’m calling local Republican office this afternoon.

Silver’s model is based on polls, so if the polls are made-up crap designed to influence public opinion, his model will reflect that.

“In a Gallup poll on October 26th in 1980, two weeks before the election, Gallup had it Jimmy Carter 47, Ronald Reagan 39. That election two weeks later ended up in a landslide that was so big that Carter conceded before California closed.”

What strength? People hate her. She turns them off.

Democratic party unity versus Republican chaos might have been a better reason to give her better than even odds.

If anybody thought she was going to win easily, it's because the Republicans were in such disarray, but a strong candidate would be further ahead Clinton is now.

The Internet is loaded with ads saying we can’t let Trump win. That is scary. I am fed up with them.

“I’ll concede some leakage because of the pu$$y tape”

Yes, the support briefly seemed to be getting soft, but after the renewed Trump effort, things have really firmed up and feel solid. Helpfully, the offending Bush has been removed, and now I think the thrust of the campaign is to keep up the pace until the climax of this season November 8th.
I cant wait to see how this ends.

I listened to Hannity today and what Hillary did to that 12 year old girl made me livid. I told my wife “It shakes my faith that God would allow Hillary to become president.”

Those women who have come forward are living in fear. They know if Hillary gets in, they’re lives are worthless. Hillary is an evil, vengeful woman. And to have so many people helping her, including republicans, can only mean one thing to me - that she, and all of her underlings, directly answer to satan.

I pray Jesus defeats them all. But if He doesn’t, I know how it comes out in the end. Maybe her in power is the beginning of the tribulation. Which is, thank Jesus, the beginning of the end.

Hillary said today she pays no attention to polls whether she’s up or down. Another lie.
