In case you guyz missed the story, a jewelry store in Conroe, Texas experienced an attempted robbery last week. Four men (you guess the race) stormed into the jewelry store and tried to rob it at gunpoint...that is until the owner pulled out his evil wicked AK-47 and gunned down one of them, the others fled, without a penny.
One for the good guyz. A side note, these four armed gentleman were likely the same fellers that did rob a jewelry store in an upper class part of Houston a few weeks back. Storm in, smash the cases and grabbed thousands of dollars of jewelry. They got away...that time.
Emboldened, they tried again. At least one of them went to meet Jesus, face to face.

I heard a commercial on the radio for a place near Chicago, where I’m from, that sells a package for a handgun, lessons and practice. Next time I’m home, I’d like to do that. Handguns are probably not legal here, though. Or at least very restricted.
I often disagree with my husband on this. He has hunting rifles, but doesn’t like concealed carry. When there’s a shooting, I argue that a trained person with a concealed weapon could save lives.
I tell him, “Don’t you want our daughter to be able to protect herself”? He doesn’t really have a response for that.
Pistols were known as “the Great Equalizer” in the West for a reason.

OK I guess I’ve been corrected. I thought the assault weapon ban was tacked onto the much watered down Brady Bill, which ended up as the restrictions you noted, rather than the outright ban it originally was. The original bill was awful...but I never followed the assault weapon issue closely. I’m not a big fan of them but if someone else wants to have one it’s their business. I much prefer my standard hunting rifle, it does the trick. I can only fire as fast as I can cycle the bolt, but I usually only need one shot. For home defense it’s not the one an intruder has to worry about anyway that’s when the buckshot is really handy.
I thought what the Supreme court says, stands. That is how it is with Roe v Wade and after 6,000 years of history remaking marriage into Kennedy’s idea of marriage, settled, right? Isn’t that what the libs would say?
