I live in Minnesota, shop in St. Cloud occasionally. I recently drove to my favorite store in downtown Willmar. When I got downtown I looked around and my senses were all “pinging “ like I’ve never experienced before. Everywhere I looked, I saw angry looking Somali men. Not one woman or Latino or anyone else. No one was smiling or looked relaxed-all had dark scowls. Had my three year old daughter with me and I was filled with a sense of unease about getting out of the car. I drove past and haven’t returned since.

I was in Minneapolis yesterday to visit my son who attends the U of MN. We drove through the Cedar Riverside area and a bunch of white people were chanting “Hey Ho, Islamaphobia has got to go!”. (Original right, LOL, but I digress.) My son pointed out that they were in the “safe” part of that area and were a bunch of chickens to stay away from the totally infested Somali area. In other words, they were a bunch of useful idiots trying to make themselves feel superior because they are so enlightened.
My son gets it and hates all things PC.
Later, we stopped by a Cub Foods in my former neighborhood in south Minneapolis. This area used to be populated by older people of Scandinavian and German heritage and then by Hispanics. It was nothing but burkas and Somali dudes in Nike wear. Kind of took my breath away in how much has changed in 20 short years. I don’t know if there is any turning back.
