Besides the higher premiums, people are starting to face the fact that the promise of lower premiums came at a price of much higher deductibles. Once they were hit with the first few medical bills and realized they were on the hook for them, many stopped taking the insurance. Nice system! /s
God help us if Hillary wins, as bad as it is now, I can see healthcare all but vanishing under her.

As someone already pointed out, once you factor in the horrendous deductibles, it’s pretty much already vanished. Poof!

Don’t know whether we could have a “good” single payer system or not, but it would have to be done right, and there is no chance that our politicians can do it right.
So, my solution for now is a competitive medical marketplace. Lotta big boys going to stand in the way of that.
I think you are overoptimistic. If I have stuff lying around that I consider deplorable I don’t put it in storage. I think that should be enough said.

10 years ago, the housing bubble burst, so even though it has recovered it is still down.
