FReeper smoothsailing (Rusty) has passed away

Mrs. smoothsailing contacted me today to relate that longtime FReeper smoothsailing passed away yesterday, 9-13-16 of pancreatic cancer.
Smoothsailing will be missed here at FR, he was a staunch conservative, a true patriot and a gentleman.
He was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Pennsylvania. On his homepage he said "I'M A DAMN PROUD VIETNAM VETERAN" and he surely was.
Rest In Peace, my FRiend. One day we'll meet on the other side.

Thanks for letting us know, jazusamo. WE are losing too many patriots! Blessings to his family. I’ve got bad pancreas, my mother died of pancreatic cancer. Sad way to go.

Oh nooooooooooo....I didn't even know that he was so ill.
He was a wonderful man, a dear friend, and shall be missed by many in real life and in cyberspace. May GOD grant his wife, family, and friends the strength to bear the loss and fill them with peace. He now is with GOD ALMIGHTY and pain free.

Prayers and condolences....
Pancreatic cancer is the most insidious of all, in my nonmedical opinion. By the time symptoms are diagnosed as cancerous, it’s too late. Lost a colleague at age 50 that way; shocked everyone.
So sorry for their loss & ours.
