The body that represents hospitals across England has issued a startling warning that the NHS is close to breaking point because of its escalating cash crisis.

In an unprecedentedly bleak assessment of the NHS’s own health, NHS Providers, which speaks for hospital trust chairs and chief executives, tells ministers that widespread breaches of performance targets, chronic understaffing and huge overspends by hospitals mean that it is heading back to the visible decline it last experienced in the 1990s.
“Taken together this means the NHS is increasingly failing to do the job it wants to do and the public needs it to do, through no fault of its own,” Chris Hopson, the chief executive of NHS Providers, writes in the Observer.

Get the feds OUT of healthcare where they have NO constitutional authority and they just muck it up. The Left doesn’t care about others’ health (they hate others) and the government is useless when is comes to health. Get this: governments are for armed and military might. That is what they do. That is why the feds MUST be limited to their NARROW constitutional powers because their propensity for killing turns on their own citizens. It is what government does.

The NHS is the third largest employer in the world. The only larger employers are the Chinese army and the Indian Civil Service.
My first instinct when I see a headline like this?
There must be a national election in the near future.
Since this has allegedly been a long term trend, you would think that death and disability statistics would also show a long term increase.
But, the author doesn’t even mention death and disability, so I’ll speculate those statistics show long term improvement, which is why The Guardian does not publish them.
Maybe they need to “brexit” from socialism too...
I have no sympathy for Britain regarding their healthcare system. It’s been in the dumper for years and they knew it. They are almost as bad as the Soviet Union, which, when it collapsed, left it’s aged for dead. Then there’s all this BS about withholding medical care for the obese and for those who smoke. Seemingly, these people don’t “deserve” to be treated. Kinda like our Veterans Administration when you think about it.

A friend was telling me about problems in California hospitals. ‘Homeless’ individuals came into the ER for treatment & then could not be released because CA legislators passed a law requiring that anyone being released had to be released to a specific address. For a while the hospitals were dropping them off at a homeless shelter, but the legislators over-ruled that as an option. So what did they do? They paid for three days in a hotel for the vagrants. All the while driving up the costs of medical care for everyone else. There ought to be a sanity test for anyone running for office.
Bill Clinton has a solution for the nHS: being in more syrian animal refugees to staff and rebuild the NHS...
I think there is... Anyone who does not pass the test gets to run as a Democrat.
And anyone who fails the test, but does not run for office, gets to VOTE as a Democrat.
