I think you are wrong here. Do not blame American workers. Blame the cheap labor express for LOWERING American wages and standards of living. That is why Americans are forced to buy cheap Chinese goods at Walmart.
1. Exactly WHO is the "cheap labor express"? American farmers hire the cheap Mexican labor. American householders hire the cheap nannies. American computer companies USED to hire the cheap Indian labor in Sillycon Valley. Americans hire the "cheap" to enrich their wallets. Why else would they do it?
2. Since when is ANY American "forced" to buy ANYthing? S/he can buy where s/he wants, whenever s/he wants.
