So Im wondering what heavy war asset does China need to be mobile by using this thing. Missile defense suite? Target engagement radars? Main battle tanks?
Chicoms probably intend to fill this beast with cell phone accessories they sell on eBay. It’s more profitable for them to sell direct from China and air mail the sold product to buyers.
Funny you should say that. I was thinking Apple probably paid for it so they could ship in the new iPhones! :0)
The Chicoms got a sweat heart deal from the US Post Office. They can economically sell cheap cell phone cases, etc. on eBay and air mail them to buyers. It’s a totally one way deal. US companies can not ship that cheap to China.
I saw that one at the Everett airshow, 1991, post cold war thawing. I agree with the other poster it was quiet.
I'm pretty sure they used this plane. The 'story' was about the plane, not the racing.
Extreme Machines: Antonov An-225 is the World's Heaviest Plane
"The plane took off from Stuttgart, Germany, on its first commercial flight, hauling 216,000 prepared meals for American military personnel in the Persian Gulf. "Bookings range from general cargo to items of over 200 tons and pieces that would only fit on the roof," says a spokesman for Air Foyle HeavyLift, the company that hopes to put the An-225 into regular service.""The plane took off from Stuttgart, Germany, on its first commercial flight, hauling 216,000 prepared meals for American military personnel in the Persian Gulf.
