I’ve got a hunch that contrary to the popular hysteria, cold is worse than hot - seeing as we need warmth and sun to grow food.

The aunder and Dalton minima were both accompanied by famine. It is arguable that the French Revolution was due to the Maunder Minimum. The French peasantry really was starving.

Looking at the historical records cold is much worse then hot.
The warmer times in human history are generally a time of civilization growth. The times of cold are the times of the barbarians and civilizations retreat.

Ive got a hunch that contrary to the popular hysteria, cold is worse than hot - seeing as we need warmth and sun to grow food. Warm means more ocean evaporation, which means more rain.
Warm means that Canada becomes better for farming.
Cold means crop failures and starvation.
