Wells Fargo Tells Knives Dealer It Doesn’t Provide Service to Businesses That Sell Weapons Online

A major knives manufacturer from central California says his company was denied access to an internet payment processing service because they sell weapons online, raising questions about whether an anti-fraud program called Operation Choke Point is continuing to block legal businesses in the firearms and weapons industries from accessing basic banking services.

“It was pretty simple and straightforward,” Aaron Hogue, co-owner of Hogue Inc., said of the situation he faced with Wells Fargo bank. “They called my controller, and said, ‘Sorry, but we’re not going to be able to process any credit card transactions for the sale of weapons online.’”

“And they specifically said because you guys sell knives,” he added.

Hogue Inc. is a family-run business that sells knives, tactical gear, and firearms accessories online. The company was founded in 1968 by Hogue’s father, and has since grown to 275 employees.

Wells Fargo, the bank that denied Hogue service, confirmed it doesn’t offer payment services to retailers that sell weapons online.

Perhaps this article should be published in a future America’s First Freedom to get the word out about Wells Fargo.

I have several flashlights which have scalloped cut outs on the front. I suppose that is intended to be used as a weapon.

LOL I have an old Wells Fargo account. I think I’ll close it this week and I’ll tell them it’s because of their policy. It will be fun.

I wish I had a Target or a Marriott credit card. I’d have more fun.

I sent the company an email saying that they should look into using Bitcoin for online payments.

overstock.com, microsoft.com and newegg.com all take Bitcoin.

I understand that it is easy to incorporate Bitcoin into any web vendors payment system.

I can assure WFB that a number of its best customers, with high balances in WF’s Zero interest accounts...will DUMP WFB..... if this is really how the bank is gonna operate!!!

There is NO EXCUSE for KRAP like this!!!!!!!!

also, I think we would need to go after Well Fargo’s license!
it has a legal duty to provide banking services for all customers in its service territory
and Californication is DEFINITELY a major part of WFB’s service area, has been since the 1850’s

Well, I know from my Saturday afternoon research, viewing TV as a kid, that Wells Fargo armed their stage drivers with (EEK) Sawed-Off Double Barreled Shotguns!!!

So, they are hypocrites. They probably have lynching in their past also, and have hidden it. Made those horses run hard and pull a load of fat white men. Civilized the West and displaced the “Native Americans”. Raised dust and left piles of horse poop. Not to mention dealing in ‘currency’ like the 1%-ers.

Wells Fargo, let’s call the kettle the correct color, OK?

First of all, there are a dozens of CC processors that would be happy to have his online business.

Second, Bitcoin may be another option but I would take a very serious look at BitGold.

IMHO, BitGold solves major Bitcoin problems and is a substantially better Alternative Currency.

Hogue?

The gunstock company? I have a Hogue stock on my Ranch Rifle.

I never thought of them a a knife company! It must be a small part of their sales volume.
