Donald Trump has hinted at the assassination of Hillary Clinton by supporters of gun rights.
The Republican nominee was speaking at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, about the next president’s power to appoint supreme court justices. “If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks,” he said, adding: “Although the second amendment people – maybe there is, I don’t know.”
The second amendment to the constitution protects the right of Americans to bear arms. Trump has accused his Democratic rival of wanting to abolish it, a charge that she denies. “This is simple – what Trump is saying is dangerous,” said Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook. “A person seeking to be the president of the United States should not suggest violence in any way.”
Jason Miller, a communications adviser for the Trump campaign, attempted to explain the candidate’s comments. “It’s called the power of unification,” he said. “Second amendment people have amazing spirit and are tremendously unified, which gives them great political power. And this year, they will be voting in record numbers, and it won’t be for Hillary Clinton, it will be for Donald Trump.”

Trump was clearly talking about Clinton and her judges outlawing arms.
Trump was clearly talking about the bullet box should the ballot box fail and things go south as a result.
Trump was talking about the duty we all have to resist tyranny - and THAT folks is where it might lead.

I haven’t done enough research to dispute this negative view of Agnew as the worst VP in US history.
However, experience teaches me to take anything said by political ‘historians’ with a grain of salt. Accusations, resignations, even indictments and convictions, must all be taken in context of which party a politician is a member of.
Spiro Agnew was a Republican, and as such, no one should assume his negative legacy to be grounded in truth.
Remember, Republicans resign when they shouldn’t, Democrats don’t when they should.
Watching current events, as Hillary Clinton (the Democrat) escapes any consequences of her profound criminality and treachery, and as Trump (the Republican) is indicted by half a dozen of his own (supposed) supporters on this very thread for saying something he never said - kind of proves my point.
I just posted a NY Times piece yesterday where they admitted that they have to be biased because Trump is a dangerous demagogue.
Only the stupidest people will believe this and we no longer have to care what the stupid people think.
He failed to finish his thought. He left his statement open ended. I never said he said anything wrong. It was a “coming out of her.... whatever” type comment. Finish your sentences Donald.

Seems I remember Obama saying “If they bring a knife, we bring a gun”.
If he had a brain (which I doubt) he’d step aside and let Ivanka take his spot.
I know how you feel about that. But when Trump fails to finish a sentence he gets millions of dollars worth of free airtime which he uses to make talking heads look foolish. And his sons, who finish all of their sentences very well, get lots of free air time too.
