They think business is an arm of government. "You didn't build that." Therefore, business owners exist only to generate tax revenue for the State and provide employment to Democrats and must obey whatever whims the central bureaucracy comes up with - or else.
If it were “only a denomination” it would still be able to be avoided by those who didn’t want something to do with it; a Roman Catholic could legally avoid Baptist affairs or vice versa, to give an obvious example.
It wants to be something like a supra-denomination that doesn’t even brook this kind of choice.

The irony pointed out by Adams has not been missed by many of us. NBA can withhold business, even break existing contracts over their beliefs, but a Christian baker cannot bake you a cake but only do decorating within their belief system.

Religious groups are already a target. There has been a deliberate effort since at least 2010 for homosexuals to try to enroll a child at a school with a published statement that they teach traditional marriage.
If the school declines enrollment to the children of homosexuals on a religious basis, they get sued or hate mobbed in both the media and real life. (Personal experience with son’s school).
If they admit the child and the parents say traditional religious teaching hurt the child’s feelings, they sue or otherwise force the school to change its teachings.
So while they say “go do what you want in private just don’t do it in public”, they then deliberately infiltrate the private institutions to try to force those groups to change, too. It is the same tactic as SJWs screaming don’t say your hate speech in public, then show up at Milo Yianapolis and Ben Shapiro events with air horns, surrounded by conservatives, to disrupt the private event. In the name of tolerance, they won’t permit anyone to express or share opposing views unless quietly in the closet at home.
It is fascism in the name of feelings.
To demonstrate the true evil, these fascists accuse you of bullying when you express your views, but when our school received death threats against teachers, death threats to the administrators, hate mail, suspicious packages, police didn’t see it as a big deal. Nor did the media report the death threats against the so called haters, that didn’t fit the narrative. The guy who threatened to burn down a school full of children wasn’t considered hateful to them, wasn’t even discussed by them.
He has a point. Today they’re a perverted, depraved denomination. Tomorrow they will be the official state religion, complete with forced worship and genuflecting to their hedonistic “god.” They’re already close to that goal.
