Then this SLEEZE for CBS-Sopan Deb tweets that the Vet. told him in front of other media reporters that it isn't the real Purple Heart of his.

At the rally Trump says he asked the veteran if it was real and he said it was.

I’ll have to listen to the local Washington DC drive-in radio program tomorrow to see if the knuckleheads bring up the Purple Heart story. Wonder which version they’ll go with: the real one or the Katy and Deb fake story?

I don’t really understand their angle here. The Vet told Trump it was real. Story over. What were they hoping to accomplish by reporting that the Vet said it wasn’t real? Even if he did say that.

Sounds like the Vet never retracted his statement in the first place.
