WHOLE TITLE: "Did some research. Hillary is NOT the 1st woman to be nominated for president, Victoria Woodhull was, in 1872 "
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
Ohio Ping!
See post #12 for photo of historical marker for Victoria Woodhull
First woman nominated for president in 1872
She was nominated but was not on any ballot so the whole bit is kinda phony.
2008, Sarah Palin! Come on,. get real, who really voted for McCain?
She was her own little red light district.
ROFL! Think she is related to Billy Bob???
Victoria Woodhull was a very interesting woman and made her way in a man’s world. She persuaded Cornelius Vanderbilt to set up her & her sister in Wall Street’s first female owned brokerage house. For better or no, Victoria’s social views were decades ahead of their time.
In this case the Dems are clearly saying “First Female of a Major Party”
So this whole thread just is worthless
Yep, we’ve been down this road a dozen times on FR. And it’s getting really boring.
If you’ll note, for the last week or two, they have been saying “the first woman nominated to be President BY A MAJOR POLITICAL PARTY.”
No she isn’t. Furthermore, other countries have had female elected leaders. India, Germany, England, etc. Then there have been lots of queens.
... although she was anti-abortion and against government interference in some ways. Libertarian?
Yep!
So this whole thread just is worthless

So this whole thread - the whole of Free Republic - is wonderful!
Great thread, BFAC. Much appreciated.
Perhaps.
Agreed ... Free Republic is Wonderful!
(not every thread can be a Home Run, it wouldn’t be right)
You have an awesome Home Page!
I’m stealing “Meditate for twenty minutes every day, unless you are too busy, in which case meditate for an hour”
(gonna use it for an excuse for when I’m Late, for anything)
Why, thank you kindly, FRiend.
That proverb is one I stole, so you’re very welcome to it too!
