The Secret History of the Democratic Party has quickly become the top-grossing documentary of the year to date at the U.S. box office, amassing $5.2 million in its first dozen days.
D'Souza's 100-minute film takes doesn't pretend to be non-partisan. A trailer for the doc refers to Bill and Hillary Clinton...as "depraved crooks" and Democrats as "the party of corruption" that is associated with slavery, lynchings, the KKK and forced sterilization.
No mention that it’s true???
I can’t wait for the ‘Best Documentary Film’ Oscar nomination.... (LOL)

The soul of the dem party has never changed.
I would say that it would be nearly impossible to change the soul of any political party without a dramatic purge.

For the benefit of those who have not yet seen the film, because clearly you have and you understand this, there never was any such purge. The Democrat Party has always been about theft - first of the labor of blacks, later the labor of everyone via taxation and regulation. After slavery was over, and we moved into the 20th century, they could no longer be so open about it, so they developed a scam that they were progressives. That worked for quite a while until that mode of thinking, which included eugenics (personified by Margaret Sanger’s open desire to exterminate in the US via birth control) became associated with the Nazis. So, they changed the con - but the goal remained the same. Now they seek to control all wealth via regulation of all activities - because only government can help us navigate through life’s complexity. They claim to be compassionate while trying to literally steal everything from us.
So they changed how they represented what they do, not WHAT they do.
Great Star Trek reference...and it would be worse. At least that terrible episode was over in an hour and didn’t cost anything.
Can’t wait to see Dinesh accept his Academy Award for best documentary...

Not that I would deny him his well deserved wages for a compelling and well executed documentary but, he should be willing to “dis-prove” he is creating these well-produced films for his personal gain [opposed to Mike Moore...spit!] but rather that he is providing the USA an INTERIOR and entertaining perspective of what we consider ^the governing-class^?
Dinesh will receive my “lucre”; but can he push-back against the Dhimmicrats who will repeat the raven’s “CAW, CAW, CAW...Nevermore” accusation of capitalist profit mongering?

Saw the film with my husband Tuesday morning at 11 am. There were only about 20 in the audience - about what you’d expect as most conservatives are busy working at that time (my husband is retired; I’m self employed). Except for one woman who looked to be in her 30s or 40s, the others looked to be 55+. I thought the part about the history of the Democratic party was excellent; the part about Hillary, only okay. The worst part of the entire experience was having to sit through the preview of “Southside with You” - about Barak and Michelle - “the best date movie ever” according to the trailer.
