Police are safer under Obama than they have been in decades
Washington Post ^ | 7/09/16 | Christopher Ingraham

In the aftermath of the mass shooting of a dozen police officers in Dallas this week, some conservatives rushed to lay blame for the incident at the feet of the Obama administration.

Former Republican congressman Joe Walsh said on Twitter that "Obama's words & [Black Lives Matter]'s deeds have gotten cops killed." Rep. Roger Williams (R-Tex.) said, "the spread of misinformation and constant instigation by prominent leaders, including our president" contributed to the killings. Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said the shooting had "roots" in the "anti-white/cop events illuminated by Obama."

These statements are part of a broader narrative of a "war on cops" carried out by the Obama administration and/or the Black Lives Matter movement, depending on whom you ask. It's certainly true that some shooters of police, such as the Dallas attacker, appear to be motivated by a hatred of white police officers or a twisted urge to seek revenge for police shootings of black Americans. But the simplistic and inflammatory notion of a "war on cops" is completely undercut by one fundamental data point: Intentional attacks on police officers are at historically low levels under President Obama.

I do not beleive this article 1 bit! Using the link to the Officers Memorial Page which has all the statics. I choose Officers death by gun (only) to rule out car accidents, boat accidents, heat related death, etc. The statistic are NOT what the article claims (unless he did some weird form of calculating). This is what I found: From 09/10 - 106 deaths, 10/11 - 175 deaths, 11/12 - 116 deaths, 12/13 - 79 deaths, 13/14 - 78 deaths, 14/15 - 86 deaths, 15/to present - 65 deaths. Total 705 deaths, when you divide that by 7 years the mean is 100.7 deaths per year.........So police ARE NOT SAFER under Obama...they were safer under the last 3 Presidents. My point, when it comes to statics, they are not always what the media claims..................and feel free to sign into the article site and "like" some of the comments.

The media are going to lose this battle with these assassinations. Their rhetoric and racism accepted against whites is becoming more intolerable with more and more.

There's that word again. The "media" loves it.

WAPO doesn’t want people to know about the annual FBI report LEOKA.

What is not tracked is how many times somebody takes a shot at police, an attempted murder every time.

Safer my posterior. Tell that to the guys and gals who stood the line on West Florissant (was there a couple nights myself). Or Baltimore, or Baton Rouge, Minneapolis.

Dallas.

Trash journalism.

If the media do manage, in concert with the assclown in our White House, manage to incite a civil war, I sincerely hope that they are the first casualties.
