Donald Trump is formally vetting a retired general as a potential running mate, but the 33-year Army veteran's views on social issues are sure to draw an outcry from Republicans already wary about Trump's conservative credentials.

Retired Lt. Gen Michael T. Flynn, who most recently served as the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, is being vetted as a last-minute addition to Trump's pool of possible vice presidential picks, NBC News confirms.

If a leader can not defend the weakest among us they do not deserve to lead!

I will not vote for pro-murder candidate.

I liked Sessions, but I can see the point of leaving him in the Senate. I supported Santorum in 2012, and I like the idea of picking him. Here’s an editorial on why Santorum is a good pick.

Excerpt:

Forget about Chris Christie and Newt Gingrich. The logical running mate for Donald Trump is former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.

Before Trump entered the race, Santorum was the only Republican presidential candidate who argued that low-skilled immigration reduces wages for American workers. Trump rails against the North American Free Trade Agreement. Santorum voted against it.

Trump frets about the fate of American manufacturing. In previous presidential campaigns, Santorum stood out among Republicans by advocating government support for manufacturers.

Trump says he wants the Republicans to be “a worker’s party.” Santorum wrote the book on it, literally: His “Blue-Collar Conservatives” was reportedly an influence on Trump’s campaign.

Speculation about Trump’s veep choice has centered on Christie and Gingrich, but Santorum has also been reported as a possibility. (Other politicians, such as Sens. Bob Corker of Tennessee and Joni Ernst of Iowa have been considered but have said in public they do not want the vice presidential nomination.)

Christie, New Jersey’s governor, and former House Speaker Gingrich of Georgia are not nearly as close to Trump on immigration and trade policy as Santorum is. They would have to either renounce their records on those issues, making themselves look insincere, or undercut Trump’s message by noting their disagreement with it.

Barbara Bush is a rampaging pro-abort and always has been. Now that she is in her 90s she will be hearing directly from our Creator what He thinks of her barbarism toward his babies.

Bush the Elder was also a pro-abort and was, during his brief time in Congress, known as "Congressman Rubbers" for his enthusiasm for limiting the size of other people's families. Lying to the public that he had suddenly become "pro-life" was the price exacted from him by Ronaldus Maximus for his nomination for VPOTUS.

Bush the Elder's daddy was Connecticut US Senator Prescott Bush whose election and re-election were opposed by the Roman Catholic Church in Connecticut allowing the Sunday pews to be flooded with brochures describing in detail his and his wife's lifelong dedication to babykiller Margaret Sanger's Planned Barrenhood.

Dorothy Walker Bush (Prescott's wife and source of the family $$$$$) served for decades as a national board of drectors member of Planned Barrenhood USA. Once George Herbert Walker Bush took Reagan's offer to become a "pro-lifer" to be his VPOTUS, it is said that Dorothy never spoke to him again.

By comparison, Laura is a total lightweight and also a pro-abort.

These people are NOT pro-choice. The only "choice" they approve for "the lesser classes" is that they abort their children who should not have conceived (according to the snobocracy) in the first place.

If Flynn should become VPOTUS, he would be constitutionally entitled to succeed Trump if Trump died or resigned or was assassinated. Then the all purpose social barbarian and baby-killer Flynn would be the appointing authority for federal judicial tyrants. With a name like Flynn, he likely had Christian and even Roman Catholic ancestors. They failed in his moral upbringing.

If we MUST have a military VPOTUS, I would take a closer look at retired General James Mad Dog Mattis. If he is sound on social issues, choose him. He has substantial combat experience and is not just a military bureaucrat and unprincipled ass-kisser riding a desk in Washington.

Good Afternoon FRiend, good to hear from you and hope all is going well with you and yours ...

First thanks for the history lesson on the Bushites and their stealth pro-abortion views. That information about Dorothy Walker Bush I did not know, but now I do. I believe also, that Prescott Bush was extremely cozy with Hitler’s Third Reich, is that correct?

My views on Flynn were based solely on his military perspective against Islam, however you are correct in that he would succeed Trump if something happened to Donaldus Maximus.

I have noted that Flynn has walked back his comments regarding abortion, but that’s not quite good enough. I think I may have mentioned another retired General who would be a great choice, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Peter Pace (USMC), but at this late point, the choice of VP has probably already been made and we’ll all have to wait and hope for the best.

My best to you Sir.

First of all, I will vote for Trump no matter whom he picks as a running mate. I am still reserving Maximus for Ronaldus Maximus. I hope Trump grows into that title.

I think that Prescott Bush, as a New York investment banker probably arranged some deals for the Third Reich to purchase strategic materials in the mid-1930s. I do not believe that Prescott Bush was sympathetic to Nazi ideology or to the Holocaust perpetrated against the Jews. I once mailed a fund-raising letter (for Connecticut Young Americans for Freedom) emphasizing the leftist evil of Yale President Kingman Brewster to him in his old age when he was somewhat disabled and confined to his home. He sent a check for $50 (about $200 in today's money) but also the torn up fundraising letter and his earnest plea that I not send any more lest his family find out he had contributed to YAF. Prescott got better as he grew older. Dorothy was a malignancy to the day she died.

At Yale, genuine conservatives mostly sought election to the Party o the Right of the Yale Political Union. GHWB graduated Yale before the founding of the POR. Neither Dubya nor his Yalie daughter ever sought membership. Even Ronaldus Maximus's sorry excuse for a son, Little Ronnie Tutu, successfully petitioned the POR for membership.

I don't know a lot about General Peter Pace and welcome info. Have you looked into Marine Corps General James Mad Dog Mattis, former comander of the First Division Marine Corps (Chesty Puller's old outft) He is a lifelong bachelor but a scholar who totes a 7,000 book library of intellectually challenging material as to Western Civilization generally as well as military history. He came to the military as a ROTC officer and was known to substitute himself (as a general) for such humble personnel as radio operators so that they might spend Christmas with their wives and children since he never had a family to spend Christmas with other than his likely dead parents. His studiousness has earned hm the nickname: The Monk.

God bless you and yours.
