LONDON (AP) The long awaited British inquiry into the 2003 invasion of Iraq has been published. Led by former senior civil servant John Chilcot, the report took over seven years to prepare and runs over two million words. The report did not analyze the legality of the invasion and instead focused on the British decision-making process in the run up to the war in 2003.

Until we decided to disband the Iraqi army, then it became an "L".
It is realizing that the end result was worse than where you started.
it's the "big lie". if you tell a lie long enough and loud enough and often enough, the lie becomes the truth.
it's simply suspicious how badly people are willing to twist historical fact to let BHO and him monumental incompetence off the hook.
That the Bushes served the Saudis before they served their fellow Americans is conventional wisdom and has been for over a decade now; I am not breaking any new ground, and the facts are apparent.
As an aside, I noticed Laura’s Bush’s book on my shelf this morning.
She sucks too!

pssssst. could you tell me who shot down TWA flight 800?
I don’t know about you guys but when the US ends a war we sure as heck shouldn’t call it over until all the prisoners are returned, and returned immediately before any forces leave. And Saddam promised to return them, then reneged, and quite simply refused for over a decade to turn over hundreds of prisoners. There was some limited evidence that some of them were subjected to experiments.
How would you propose the coalition arrayed against an enemy go about securing the release of prisoners?
In addition, he had a US citizen, a student, who was being held in Abu Ghraibh who landed there because someone accused him of joking about the dictator- he was arrested and tortured and held for months before being accused of more crap and given a death sentence- he was not released until the US troops arrived and would have died there if they had not arrived, along with the occupants of the children’s prison at the same facility.
One of the terror cells Saddam harbored in Baghdad was directly headed by the man also just happened to become the first head of ISIS, having cofounded ISIS with Saddam’s islamist intel General al Dhouri, who after the fall of Saddam was assisted and harbored by Syria’s regime as they funneled recruits from Europe into Iraq. The other cell was merged with Mullah Krekar’s Ansar group and was used to work for Saddam in the no fly zone where they assassinated Kurdish leaders in advance of 9/11.
It was the antiwar crowd which was content to allow Iraq to harbor and develop the group that later renamed itself “ISIS” then “ISIL.” Their excuse then when we brought up Zarqawi was that Zarqawi was not “operationally involved with 9/11” because he had not yet, to our knowledge, sworn a loyalty oath to Saddam. [He did later, and made a big deal out of it.]
I don’t know what they think Saddam was harboring them and training them for in the first place... but rest assured it was not for an Iraqi or alQaeda Peace Corps.
Add to this the fact that Iraq was caught planning to bomb the American Radio Free Europe before 9/11 and that several Iraqi intelligence officers were captured in Europe in 2001 scouting bases there.
“it’s sheer fashion. you’re drinking the MSM koolaid”
I came to my conclusion years ago, without any MSM propaganda.
correction:
because he had not yet, to our knowledge, sworn a loyalty oath to bin Laden [not Saddam]. [He did swear the bayat to OBL later, after Saddam was dead, and made a big deal out of it, and Saddam’s intel general along with his sons swore bayat to Zarqawi as his Baath followers formalized their union with what we call ISIS.]
Much of ISIS, and certainly the bulk of it's military leadership, are ex-Iraqi army Sunis.
When we disbanded the army they had military skills, access to weapons, no employment and were stuck in the middle of an unstable sectarian nightmare.
They went where they could use their skills and support themselves.
There were lots of other mistakes made by W and O, but if you can't see this simple fact then your judgment is what is suspect.

ISIS didn't exist before BHO cut and ran. and it wouldn't have existed for more than a few weeks if basing rights had been secured, as they moved around in open pickup trucks for months and months. they would have been sitting ducks. it would have been target practice
so, they would have quickly become dead former iraqi army soldiers. problem solved.
and before you start casting suspicions, let me simply point out that I'm not the one spewing obamite talking points.
We also did it because Hussein was an example of blowing off agreements to the extent that diplomacy in the Middle East was no longer possible. He served as an Osama Bin Ladin-cited example of why it was not only OK to attack the U.S., but desirable, and we and our allies were being attacked in a big way every year.
To say Iraq wasn’t a threat was and is sophistry.
True, they were called Al-Qaeda in Iraq then.
...and it wouldn't have existed for more than a few weeks if basing rights had been secured
So why wasn't it destroyed during the previous 5 years when we did have bases there?
If you read Laura Bush’s book you’d see she is not in any way conservative, or even intelligent.
The evidence is in her own words. I read her book.
That is why she sucks. If you require any more clarification on this issue I am here to help.
Because Saddam tried to kill Bush’s daddy.
“what an incredible coincidence. not to mention extraordinarily convenient.”
Um ok.
I suppose the true conservative thing to do is to stick by dumb positions forever....or something, because reasons.
you do realize that laura bush never held elective office, correct?
this is worse BDS than I’ve ever seen out of the most squeamish liberal.
