We used to strive toward excellence. People tried to better themselves. Not just to get into a good school, but because bettering yourself was inherently rewarding.

Somewhere around 1960 or so, the country noticed that some folks were better than others and the country decided that this was not OK. The lazy, unmotivated, untalented people felt bad about themselves. This had to change.

Now everyone gets a trophy. Freaks are put on pedestals. And people of genuine accomplishment are either criticized or ignored. Bettering yourself?? Why would you do that?? It's mean to other people.

Used to be a great country.

The One Thing Liberals Cannot Stand: that smart, talented, handsome, successful people tend to reproduce smart, talented, handsome, successful kids, while stupid, untalented, ugly, unsuccessful people tend to have stupid, untalented, ugly, unsuccessful kids.
