NAMPA -- One man is in custody and police are looking for another suspect after a girl was shot in the parking lot of a Nampa business Wednesday night.
The shooting happened at about 10:15 p.m. in the parking lot of Walmart on East Franklin Road.
Nampa Police Capt. Curt Shankel said the 10-year-old victim was in the parking lot with her family to watch the fireworks show from the God and Country Family Festival at the nearby Ford Idaho Center when she was struck by a stray bullet.
According to police, 21-year-old Ezri Garcia and another man got into a fistfight near the front of the Walmart. The fight escalated to a gun battle, with both men drawing weapons and shooting at each other, Shankel said. One of the rounds struck the girl in the shoulder.

Oh hey look, it’s a Mexican.
Again.
Mexicans in San Antonio haven’t figured out yet that when you shoot a bullet into the air, it comes down. It is not uncommon for victims to be killed this way watching fireworks on the Fourth and on New Year’s Eve.
Years ago, when I was teaching in Central Texas, in the teacher’s manual there was a note that Hispanic children had a difficult time with the concept of Cause and Effect because there isn’t such a construction in the Spanish language. Perhaps they should fix that. It could solve a host of problems.
Nice to see another person from Nampa here!
Didn’t even have to read the article to know it was those darn Amish again.
All cultures are equal...
There is stray brass... I find it at the range all the time, and it follows me home, so I get to keep.
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Ammo (SPCA)has an adopt-a-bullet program.
Ezri Garcia
OMG another Mexican ‘migrant’!
He's from Nampa, but now living in New Mexico, IIRC. Kind of like me, in reverse. I live in Idaho, but moved here from New Mexico.

Attention all units!!! Be on the lookout for “A Man”
Does he looka like a man?
I’m an American of Hispanic descent. Majored in biochemistry and I guess was lucky figuring out cause and effect.
Your comments say more about you than the idiots in the walmart parking lot. You realize that “Mexicans” are the majority in San Antonio. 8 uncles and my dad were in the armed forces. I made sure my son would never join because of what I saw happen to my dad after he was wounded.
A booby trap blew up (cause) and tore most of his right leg off (effect). VA and DOD tried to screw him over and he STILL loved the Marine Corps. My kid is never dying for the Uniparty and traitors sucking the life out of our country.
Try to think about what you sound like when you lump people together. You’re being manipulated and the Uniparty and bureaucrats are laughing at us.
That was one of the nicer comments on this thread.
Things have changed since I lived 20 miles away in Wilder.
“Kind of like me, in reverse. I live in Idaho, but moved here from New Mexico.”
I’ve debated that exact same move before, especially when Bill Richardson decided to give driver’s licenses to illegals and was hell bent on turning New Mexico into East California. Anymore though, it seems ALL states are pretty much infected with plenty of libtards and illegals.
Yeah. Lived there my whole life until I got my diploma. Left for a bit to play Zoomie, then moved back for a while. Been gone for over 12 years, though. Living in the Albuquirky metro area for 11 of those. I both miss my hometown, and don't miss my hometown. Of course, we see our fair share of crime here, but ABQ has been a lot worse for a lot longer, unfortunately it's been creeping north for more than 30 years, a lot more in the last 15 years.
