DENTON (CBSDFW.COM) There is a large police presence at the Denton County Courthouse after the arrest of a suspicious person who allegedly wanted to get inside the building to deliver a copy of the Koran. Officials with the Denton Police Department say the incident began before 8 a.m. when officers with the University of North Texas Police Department made contact with the man. Later police received a call about the same man acting suspiciously in the 200 block of Bonnie Brae. The unidentified man reportedly continued on and made another stop near the Denton County Courthouse in the 1400 block of East McKinney. It was there that he attempted to go inside the courthouse saying that he wanted to give a judge a copy of the Koran.

A book, if not a bomb ... is a book
bad press for conservatives
As presented it does sound kind of comical.
Wonder if he’s a buddy of the two folks from Denton who signed up with ISIS.
As presented it does sound kind of comical.
Was he driving an Amazon truck?
From local NBC affiliate.....
“The man, identified by police as 28-year-old Peshwaz Azad Waise, of Iraq, then left the surgery center and went to the county courthouse, where he went through security and into a courtroom. In the courtroom Waise approached a judge and tried to give him a copy of the Quran — the central religious text of Islam.”
Let me guess, the arrested man considers himself a ‘moderate Muslim’, right?
Tried to give him.....a book.
How horrifying.
I would have just said, "Thanks, and just in time, too....We just ran out of toilet paper."
All part of a bigger plan. First step is to “shame” those with “Islamophobia” and cower us.
Lots of Iranians in Denton, at least there was when I lived there
It’s the “approached a judge” part that got him arrested.
Chances are he was not on calendar, did not ask permission to approach the bench and was in the well.
According to police, the man is being arrested and will be charged with making terroristic threats.
I'm sure there is much more to the story than the politically correct media will report.
They keep PUSHING OUR BUTTONS!
I fail to see the downside for conservatives.
I don’t know anything about the judge or his court - is he the conservative you speak of? He is correct to immediately halt the man’s intrusion into his courtroom irrespective of intent (perceived or otherwise).
I doesn’t matter if it was a book or a box of chocolates.
Has Obama phoned the guy yet, like "Clockmed"?
Where is Clockmed these days? Did he take zuckerberg’s offer of a free indoctrination, er education?
Typically only attorneys or per-se litigants are allowed to approach the bench only after asking permission, much less even be allowed past the spectator barrier. This guy made you could say a bad stupid move.
although
If the fear is real
Is it phobic ?
