RealClearPolitics ^ | 6/6/2016 | Tim Hains

"This campaign is a reality TV show," he said. "And you have to understand that Donald Trump has been involved with the best reality TV producers for more than 15 years... They make what has been weighed, strategized, considered, look like it is off-the-cuff, look like it is completely unrehearsed. It is very staged. It is very calculated."

"He has won a tremendous victory of marketing, because he is selling you a brand. You've accepted that as his brand. That is why he is going to win: There is nothing better than a clear message in politics," he said.

The most important part of this great article is:

QUOTE

Clinton's Twitter feed and website are helping Trump immensely as they seem to pump out phrases like "a Trump presidency," and "President Trump" more often than Trump does himself. These kinds of messages present and reinforce the idea of an actual President Trump in our subconscious brains. This is why the old TV commercials for consumer products when we were growing up used to avoid naming competing products as anything other than "brand x."

END QUOTE

Jake Novak points out that the democrats are walking into Trump's trap every 5 minutes. Look at Trump's twitter feed. It is all about Trump. Look at Hillary's twitter feed. It is all about Trump.

This is an outstanding explanation of the Trump madness that always ends up on top. Ask the 16 other candidates he trounced.

Notice Bernie and all the other leftists proclaiming their desire to “prevent Donald Trump from becoming President” instead of vowing support for Hillary and how great a candidate she is.

This is why I knew there would never be a second ballot.

Despite protestations from some here, the man was simply a better candidate for this time in virtually every way.

I think they know, too, who comes next may (in their eyes) be much worse.

If "everybody" is against Trump, doesn't that make him an underdog? America loves an underdog.

Only the left could turn Donald Trump into an underdog. He will win and it will be fun to watch.

I've been saying since Trump entered the race that every "blunder" he made came prepackaged with his vindication.

Trump may have the votes, but the DemocRATs have the voting machines, the dead voters, the FEC, and the fraud.

It hurts me to say it, but cheaters can and do win.

The other candidate closest in overall views to Trump in 2016 primaries was Santorum, who is better on pro-life and religious freedom issues than Trump.

Yes, the American people are known to snicker at cheaters winning elections. They don’t even like to see fraud exposed.

This will not be for the faint of heart. As the reality of President Trump inches closer and closer the Left is absolutely going to lose it. Riots, civil unrest, assassinations......nothing is off the table.

Most do.

Too bad there are still those in the #nevertrump category who claim to be on the center right, particularly those who should know better.

They have been driven insane by their own hobgoblins (I think that unfortunately includes Cruz).

Yes! But you have to have a set of elephant stones to do what Trump is doing. That is why the 16 other candidates lost and that is why Hillary is losing. they are all gutless.

Santorum was more acceptable to me about pro life issues.

Other than that, he did not seem to be a very good candidate.

I believe the disgust with “political correctness” is deep, even cutting across partisan lines.

So it seems every time Trump is “incorrect” he recovers, quickly and completely.

I remember as a young adult, during Vietnam, how misinformed youth were about public opinion. The youth talked to each other (like #nevertrumps do) and concluded the country was against the Vietnam war.

The country was actually against youths demonstrating, and elected Nixon in 1968 and again in 1972.

It was law & order. It strikes me the public will opt for Trump’s stand against unregulated illegal immigration, unrestricted muslim entry, refocus on America First, etc.

He’s an amateur at politics, but learns fast.
