Seven Times Democrats Were Overtly Racist On Judges Before Trump

1.Justice Sonia Sotomayor famously invoked her identity as a “wise Latina” who could outdo a white man. “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would, more often than not, reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,” she said in an October, 2001 speech that became a point of criticism for Republicans.

2.When Donald Trump released his list of potential Supreme Court nominees, the left was quick to point out they were all white. Think Progress published an article titled “Your Ultimate Guide To The 11 White People Donald Trump Will Consider For The Supreme Court,” which pointed out that “Only three are women. All are white.”

3.George Takei, Star Trek actor and gay rights activist, called Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas a “clown in black face” after his vote against the recognition of same-sex marriage. “I mean, doesn’t he know that slaves were in chains?” Takei said. “That they were whipped on the back. If he saw the movie 12 Years a Slave, you know, they were raped.”

4.Liberal Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson blasted Thomas for his stance against affirmative action. “I believe in affirmative action, but I have to acknowledge there are arguments against it,” Robinson wrote. “One of the more cogent is the presence of Justice Clarence Thomas on the U.S. Supreme Court.”

5.Anna Quindlen, a liberal writer for Newsweek, clearly invoked Thomas’ race in her criticism of him, saying “His judicial resume was mediocre; he was chosen because he was conservative and black, an affirmative-action hire by an administration that eschewed affirmative action.”

Trump has every right to criticize the judge, but you have to question his wisdom in doing so. Have Trump's attorneys filed a motion for recusal of the judge in question? We all appreciate the Donald's knack for saying what he feels, but eventually will he say something he cannot back out of?

As always, the rules are different for Democrats. When such quotes are pointed out to them, it’s quick justification, or denial and amnesia.

Can't recall how many times I've seen Leftists on the Internet talking about how the evil Catholic majority of the Supreme Court ruled this way or that or whatever ruling. I guess Catholic judges can't rule on abortion issues?

No, but what if he did?...So what?

McConnell, Newt and some others are the ones that should be backing out of what they've said.

Trump absolutely doesn't have the temperament to leave good Americans on a roof to be killed as they called and called to no avail for help.....Hillary has that temperament for sure. (Then Sen. Hillary Clinton) tells Gen. David Petraeus that his reports on the Iraq War surge "require the willing suspension of disbelief," which is rather illuminating now that Robert Gates has revealed she admitted her Iraq surge position was based on the politics in her Democrat primary.

(Three conservative members of the Supreme Court) — Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, and Samuel Alito — boycotted President Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night, one year after Obama castigated the court in his address to Congress.

Both Obama and Hillary have eviscerated public servants/judges when decisions did not got their way. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT DONALD TRUMP SAID ABOUT THE JUDGE AND WHAT THE TWO ELECTED SAID ABOUT WHOMEVER...IS THAT OBAMA AND HILLARY ARE ELECTED...TRUMP IS A FREE CITIZEN BEHOLDEN TO NO ONE AND TRUMP HAS BEEN PROVEN 99% CORRECT IN HIS OUTSPOKENNESS...HE DOESN'T SEND IN OTHERS TO DO THE SPEAKING FOR HIM.

Newt Ginrich should not be so quick to castigate Trump over the judge remarks.

Here is the latest in an incredibly long string of ‘we gotcha this time for sure’ attempts against Trump. There is a crowd made up of jealous, insecure, paranoid, politically correct Trump critics that keep trying to take Trump out and each time their effort boomerangs back to kick them in the keister? This latest turn on the judge kerfuffle is simply surreal. Even Gingrich fell in the trap on this one. Crow is on the menu again for all the embarrassed fools.

Newt needs to grow a backbone -OR get off his 'elite high horse' and get real.

Miguel Estrada was denied the Supreme Court by Harry Reid and the Democrats because he is Latino.
