One remarkable element of American politics is the extent to which unthinkable developments become commonplace once they happen. Consider simply the men who have become president by defying the conventional wisdom that said they could never reach that office, because they werent right for the times and the times werent right for them. They include Abraham Lincoln, considered a western bumpkin with only a single congressional term under his belt and no discernible sophistication about him. Or Ronald Reagan, considered a failed actor, a man whose detractors felt he was simply too dumb to be president. And lets not forget Barack Obama, clearly an accomplished and polished politician whose race, it was believed by many, would constitute a barrier because the country wasnt yet ready for a black president. But when these men actually reached the White House it seemed entirely natural. The country casually absorbed the reality of something that previously had seemed impossible.
Now we have Donald Trump emerging as the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, a development utterly unthinkable until it happened. When he first announced his candidacy, it was considered a joke. When he emerged as the leader in polls, it was said he would falter as soon as actual voting commenced. When he began winning primaries, we were assured it wouldnt last. When he kept winning, the party elites mounted plans to outmaneuver him through convention manipulations, because this simply couldnt happen....

The coarsening of American society had helped pave the way for him.
I've said for years that once Bill Clinton was allowed to escape conviction for his crimes and tawdry behavior in the White House, there's really nothing off-limits as far as the character and demeanor of a president.
Add this to the other 300 articles that list the Top 5 reasons for Trump and there are a lot of reasons.
Number one reason: Hillary’s a crook, Bernie’s a congenital idiot, and no other candidate has the balls to do what needs to be done to restore the nation after the nightmare eight years of our Marxist A**clown.
Excellent cartoon!

“And lets not forget Barack Obama, clearly an accomplished and polished politician ...”
I stopped reading there.
The concept of a dual legal system (one for the “elites” and one for the common man) has done incalculable damage to society. However, it is not the coarsening of society everywhere, it is Liberalism and its many guises (Socialism, Progressive and Marxist) that has angered the people. All the evils of their agenda have created the condition for someone to reverse the tide. Trump, hopefully, is that someone.
I think the People finally woke up to the fact that they’ve been sold out by the Oligarchs. In my estimation, this is the last election where we’ll have a chance to elect someone who will put America first. If Trump doesn’t win, the Uniparty will close out any chance of another outsider getting one of the nominations.
Democrats who hate the elite ruining the US as much as we do should vote for Trump. Talking point....our backstabbers support hillary since they didn’t hand-pick the Republican candidate.
But it is accurate.
Obama has accomplished nearly everything he wanted, is perceived by the public as the Ultimate Cool, and above all he is a politician, meaning he lies effectively in order to gain and retain power.
Trump is accomplished in the business world, but he is not polished, and he is not a politician. That is why he will win in November, because enough Americans no longer want a polished politician in the Oval Office.
What is amazing to me is that Trump a successful business man is considered a joke but Al Frankenstein s has been not so good comic is considered masterful
LOL....sad isn’t it!
This guy has nailed it.
Leadership. It’s refreshing. Real man, it’s refreshing. Decisive commitment and statements, it’s refreshing. Loves America, it’s refreshing and the opposite of leadership the past 7.5 long years.
Barack Obama, clearly an accomplished and polished politician ...
You can’t polish $hit.
You nailed it!
He’s called out the absurdity of open borders. He’s challenged PC speak. He’s pwned the press. He has the GOPe shaking in their boots. That’s a pretty good start.
