A look at some of Clinton's past claims about her unusual email set-up and how they compare with the inspector general's findings:
CLINTON: "The system we used was set up for President Clinton's office. And it had numerous safeguards. It was on property guarded by the Secret Service. And there were no security breaches." - March 2015 press conference.
THE REPORT: Evidence emerged of hacking attempts, though it's unclear whether they were successful.
On Jan. 9, 2011, an adviser to former President Bill Clinton notified the State Department's deputy chief of staff for operations that he had to shut down the server because he suspected "someone was trying to hack us and while they did not get in i didnt (sic) want to let them have the chance to."
Later that day, he sent another note. "We were attacked again so I shut (the server) down for a few min."
The following day the deputy chief emailed top Clinton aides and instructed them not to email the secretary "anything sensitive."
Also in May 2011, Clinton told aides that someone was "hacking into her email," after she received a message with a suspicious link, the new audit report said.
The Associated Press has previously reported that, according to detailed records compiled in 2012, Clinton's server was connected to the internet in ways that made it more vulnerable to hackers. It appeared to allow users to connect openly over the internet to control it remotely.
Moreover, it's unclear what protection her email system might have achieved from having the Secret Service guard the property. Digital security breaches tend to come from computer networks, not over a fence.

While I don't disagree with what you said this Email thing for HRC seems like its beginning to snowball. If nothing else it really messes up her planned blitz in June against the republican nominee. She can't lose a month.

Hillary should be asked this simple question:
“Would you allow your cabinet secretaries to have their own email systems, home based servers, and unsecured cell phones”?
If she says NO, then she is contradicting her own actions. If she says YES, she is showing no regard for national security. If she EQUIVOCATES, its clear she is hiding something.
Either way she responds, its a no-win proposition for her.

It depends on which lie she is telling at which time. That ‘secure’ server has been said to be located at the NY residence, in a closet in an apartment in Colorado, in Manhattan, in New Jersey.
She tries to play dumb — recall the ‘Wipe? You mean like with a cloth?’ remark she made when questioned about the server being wiped.
Recall her excuse that she didn’t want a private and a State Department email account because she ‘didn’t want to have to carry two smartphones around.’
Last week, it was revealed in a quote attributed to her tha she was more concerned about an outsider getting access to her private emails than she was about State Department classified emails. That should raise eyebrows. What was in those private emails that had her so concerned? The recipe to Chelsea’s wedding cake? Yeah, right.
She lies, she obfuscates, she makes up all kinds of excuses. She thinks she is clever. BJ did it — and mostly, he got away with it. She expects to, as well.
I’d like to know what kind of X-ray vision the SS had to be able to tell there was no classified info on the server. /sarc
She has lied to, cheated and taken advantage of the American people for decades and yet NOTHING and NO ONE has taken her to task. With all the illegal activities she has been involved with, up to and including murder conspiracy, she will “skate free” once again. Will she ever be made to pay for her past sins here on earth?

Funny considering the guy managing it didn't have a security clearance.....zero clearance and access to Top Secret/SCI data - no security breach here folks....
If a machine touches a classified network, even without transferring any data, it become classified to the level of the highest classification on the network it touched.....
As an aside I see the State Dept has made the emails unlinkable. Last March I was able to link directly to the email in question.
It was on property guarded by the Secret Service. And there were no security breaches.
Simply lawyer speak. She could factually respond to those questioning the comment that the Secret Service protected the grounds and no “one” had gotten through them physically.
She knew she was dodging the question but the press never calls her on her “lies” by asking the follow up question nor pointing out the limitations of her answer.
I think you’re right. Everything she said was carefully crafted by slimy lawyer types and meant to deceive.
I predict that her royal Hillaryness and her obedient minions in the media will take a page out of Nixon’s playbook:
“That statement is no longer operative”.
