When, as an ostensible conservative, you try to out-liberal a liberal, you will lose every time. Every time.

How did it go wrong? “I like mandates, mandates work.” Dead candidate walking for 4 years.

Mittens lost because—he was shaken by the debates—Candy tossed him a lie—that Obama said it wasn’t a Video in a talk at the Rose Garden. Mitt—too much of a compromiser—not a leader. He was a weak guy—still is.

Trump, unlike the GOP, is smart enough to realize that Twitter allows him the opportunity to snuff the Media’s Leftist “narrative” while it is still being hatched.

Trump plays to win. That’s pretty apparent by now. The fire inside him never stops burning.

I was in a polling place that day. Orca was a stupid idea to begin with. How are you supposed to get a voter name when the poll worker is scanning DLs? They don’t let you look over their shoulders. The few where they audibly said a name were either Spanish names or shanickala types. Clearly I was not in a Republican precinct. So I changed my focus to protesting ineligible voters. The campaign told us not to do that but it wasn’t like I was getting paid. What an absolute waste of 12 hours.

Excellent article, hopefully the Trump campaign will study it.

I can’t believe I ever had any faith in Romney. He was a complete and utter loser.

Historically the one saving grace may be that his incompetence may have paved the way for candidate Trump that otherwise would never have happened.

Good assessment. If you’re in the ring and don’t put away your opponent when you have the chance, you don’t deserve to win. Romney backed off when he should have gone in for the knock out. That’s not what a winner does.

I thought that was hilarious and this must be driving the Beltway pundits absolutely bonkers.

*************

Trump bashes his opponents with a verbal fusillade of insults. The hapless targets of his invectives are not used to intimidating exchanges like this and don’t know what to say BECAUSE they’re modus operandi is hiding behind a wall of fancy words and obfuscations. Its really hilarious to watch Trump humiliate these pompous elites.

The Mittster identified himself at a rally as not just conservative, but “severely” conservative.

Uh, yeah, OK.

The DC political class is an elitist club, and it disdains the American people. That’s why they’re going to get the boot in November.

Romney was another dud. How did he even get in to the establishment? Romney-care was Obamacare’s father.

Romney didn’t want to win. He refused to attack Obama like he destroyed the other republican candidates. He was blinded by Obama’s impervious suit of melanin armor. Both he and McCain practically said they endorse Obama for president.

The guy lost to McCain in ‘08. So yeah, GOP, let’s pick him to run in ‘12. And dumbass me voted for him anyway.

Here's another money quote from the article:

Ohio was the greatest surprise of all. Romney pollster Neil Newhouse calculated that 209,000 more African-Americans voted this year than in 2008 in Ohio, while 329,000 fewer whites had voted.

Romney put all his eggs in the Ohio basket. But Obama was able to somehow dig up or manufacture 209,000 additional black votes over 2008 while 329,000 whites decided that Romney was not worth coming out for.

Not to get overconfident but I believe that Trump will get those 329,000 white votes back and then some. Not including the cross-over Democrats. And also not including the higher percentage of the black vote he should be able to get.

If you're like me, you didn't vote for Mitt. You voted against another four years of Obama.

Romney lost for the same reason why most Republicans lose. They hire advisors and managers who are just doing a job and don’t actually agree with their boss. As a result they accepted nearly everything phrased in a way to support the Democrat.

Just what Romney believed is hard to say, but I think you're on the right track.

Obama's people really believed in winning the election.

Romney's guys were more interested in advancing their own careers and setting themselves up as screenwriters and such.

Obama spent money earlier and then, in the later phase of the campaign, concentrated on getting the vote out.

Romney's people thought they could sway the masses with late advertising and really muffed the get out to vote campaign.

The Obama team's approach turned out to the right one (which the Romney people should have realized going into the campaign).

The 47% remark and everything it represented was the last straw that really did Romney in.

Quite possibly, but I also note that political consultants and media both benefit directly via large piles of campaign cash when they convince politicians that running nonstop ads is the only way to victory.
